Kent State Accelerated Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi!

I just sent in my application for kent state accelerated program for the January 2017 start and was wondering if anyone else had applied here in the past or for this cohort start date????? Would love some advice!!! :)

I'll have all pre-requisite courses completed by the end of this semester, including a chemistry and microbiology course. I have a B.A. in a health science related field, however, the program did not require chemistry or biology courses.

Also, I just attended a web seminar for the ABSN program and asked how long admission decisions generally take. The host said 3-5 weeks, so we may have to wait a little bit longer to know if we've been accepted into the program. Fingers crossed!

Yeah, same, I'm just completing two course now.

i just want to hear back!

I also applied to the spring 2017 cohort! Has anyone heard anything yet? I'm so anxious over here.

No! I haven't heard anything. It's been three weeks, I thought we might have found out by now

I hoped we would have by now too. Hopefully this week!

Just got an e-mail. Didn't get in. Hope you guys got better news. I really thought I had a good chance.

I applied for Spring 2017. Just got an email at 2:50pm. Too nervous to open it. If bad result, don't want it to ruin my weekend! I hate that the pre-reqs for KSU and their competitors (Akron, CSU) are different. At least you could apply to various schools instead of putting all eggs in 1 basket.

I saw someone got a denial email at 1:45 pm....Does my email coming in at 2:50 pm mean anything special lol?

what date did you get your email? I got one today 9/30 at 250pm but afraid to open it...

I really need to open my email....Did anyone who got in receive that acceptance email today?

Hello

what were your grades like? just curious

Not sure. My e-mail came today at 2:34pm. I'm assuming the accepted students received emails as well. Did you guys apply to other programs?

Total cumulative gpa probably comes out to a 3.3 (this includes 5 years undergrad some graduate courses and the college algebra and molecules of life course I retook to get an A). I had all pre reqs completed and all but two additional courses but I'm currently enrolled in them. I didn't go into this blind, I did my research and I thought I did everything I could to better my chances.
