Wondering if anyone out there has applied for KSU's BSN program to start spring '10. I applied and am still anxiously waiting to see if I get an interview. Let me know if you've heard anything!

Specializes in ER.

Did anyone ever find out how many interviews they are having and how many will be accepted that are interviewed?

Hey Robin, I don't know if you got ur message I sent you. I don't know if it sent right but yeah, I am in A &P II Lab. I was taking the class but dropped it b/c I have already taken it and I made a C. This of course, was b4 I had the interview. Hopefully it wont matter and my interview will make up for the fact that I have 3 A's 6 B's and 3 C's for the prereqs. But does anyone know if KSU would let you resend new results for the TEAS? b/c I am retaking it on Friday, and hopefully I will do better than b4...I hope it can be used for my spring decision.

I also wanted to tell everyone that is curious about the number of people they accept, I read on the KSU nursing website the Q and A part , that they admit roughly 100 people per semester. But does anyone have an interview set for a date after Sept. 7-11? B/c if not then they do an interview every half hour so monday is a holiday, so it would start on tuesday. they do 12 a day, so 12X4 is 48. So they must be doing more interviews after that date. Did anyone get an interview this week?

Good luck to you all

I was accepted fall 06.

I didnt have to take an entrance exam or do an interview.

jeez RNnbakes that was NOT what I needed to hear! haha..but hopefully I will get accepted. you lucked out b/c the nursing entrance exam SUCKS!! I just retook it an only got a 75.9!!! I mean, I should atleast get bonus points for sitting there for 3 1/2 hrs! lol... :coollook:

Nursing interviews this week! Anyone as nervous as me? Mine's not until Fri. So I'll be thinking about it all week! Good luck everyone. Feel free to post some helpful hints :)

okay, so has anyone done their interview yet? what was it like? what ?'s did they ask? how was everyone dressed? PLEASE im going CRAZY!!!!

I wore a high waist black skirt with an elegant white blouse and a really awesome pair of shoes. They basically asked why I chose nursing, if I had any experience, and some scenario questions like "name a time when you..." They made me feel so comfortable and I was able to say everything I wanted to say. What ever happens from this point on, I know I did the best I could and am so grateful I even had an interview. Go in there and have fun and be yourself! Good luck!

It's the "name a time when you..." questions that scare me! I try to prepare for everything but it seems like I always get a question during interviews that I stumps me. I just get too nervous. I'll be so glad when Friday is over! :) Thanks sjgimpel!

Hey everyone, I talked to Fran today, and I asked her how many interviews they were doing. She told me 150!! Thats great! b/c it means our chances are even better! I also asked her how many people they are going to accept and she said 95!!!! YAY!! I really hope we all get in! Oh and Robinelli, you were right about how many they accept...sorry, I guess I was looking at old numbers...thanks though. Good luck everyone on the interviews! ;)

Hey! I had my interview today!

In response to what people were wearing: most people were wearing suits (pant & skirt suits), i saw a girl in black dress, dress pants & nice shirt.

And they accept 95 people for accelerated plus traditional. They told me around 30ish students for accelerated. Good luck everyone! (I hope I did well...) And hopefully we will know before the end of October.

I had my interview about an hour ago. And it went much better than I anticipated. The ladies who interviewed me where so sweet and made me feel really comfortable! I just hope I get accepted! They should let us all in! haha.
