Kennesaw State University Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!
I didn’t see if a thread was already made for this topic, but I actually had a question. I’m actually waiting for my ap scores to be submitted because they were archived, but I cannot get in touch with nursing admissions at all ?. Is there anyone who has submitted, or is thinking about submitting, their application while completing 2 courses? Also I’m just curious about anyone applying for the ABSN program ?.

WOW! Did you attend Florida State too?  That's where I'm graduating from and I took STA2122 Intro to Applied Statistics but I believe they are counting that or at least that is how it appears when I look at Degree Works.  I took American History as an AP class but it appears there is another one that I would need to take plus a World History which I did not have.  Then there is an ECON 1000 which is a freshman-level 2 credit course.  I also did the gov't class as AP but that might be a problem too.  I've not seen these issues with any other school.  Are you applying elsewhere and is Kennesaw your first choice?

Yes I did back in 2015. Best time of my life, so far.

Yes, you should be solid with your statistics course. I took, and passed, AP government and didn’t have to take it at FSU, but must now retake it at KSU. I took history at FSU, and still must retake it at KSU.

After many circular discussions with the advisors I was told: “some people have easier transitions than others”

I only applied to KSU this round - which is my first choice (because I own a house near by).

If you have the flexibility and time to apply elsewhere I would! I obviously can only comment on my experience, but KSUs process seems very impersonal.

On paper I have a 3.0 and a 87 on the TEAS. That’s all it seems they look at.

I'm graduating in December.  I believe they will make me take the Econ 1000 course and possibly a World Lit course too.  I did AP Lang and then an honors english at FSU but I don't think it's enough for them plus then I will need to battle the history and govt too.  I didn't expect this.  I have applied to other schools fortunately but no idea whether I'll get in.  I have a 3.5 GPA and a 94.7 on the TEAS.  I had a B in Honors Chem at FSU and As in the rest of my science courses but I do need to take Chem 2 in the Spring.  I'm applying to Augusta, Mercer, Georgia State, Univ of North FL, GA SWestern, and Albany.  We watched someone apply to 16 schools last year and did not get into any program, and she had good scores so I just applied to all the schools with accelerated programs.  FSU stopped doing accelerated this year.  Good luck to you!

Hi everyone!

I still need to take my 2nd attempt on September 25th, but as of right now, my overall GPA is 3.68 and my first attempt at the TEAS is 80.7%. The English section was my lowest so I'm hoping I can do better next time ;____;

Hello everyone, I just want to know if anyone get the acceptance/denial  email or not yet, because they said that the decisions will be made in September 2020

Not yet - I was told decisions would now be released mid-October... any day now.

Hi! I applied with a 3.4 and an 89.3 on the TEAS. Hoping they see my recent grades which are all As in Chem1/2 & AP2. didn’t do so well in my classes when I was in school 2017. But fingers crossed!

Did anyone else apply to other schools besides KSU?

I think it’ll be another week or so for KSU based off the email from admissions.
