Who is applying this Spring 2015 to get accepted next spring 2016?!!!? I am really nervous about the TEAS Exam. Has anyone taken it this year? How hard did you think it was?

Also what grades have you received in your classes and how did you do on the TEAS??

@sarahscarn where did you read that 80 traditional is accepted?

Sarahscarn, yes you can be considered for traditional if you have a degree...but my understand is you can only apply to one or the other. Not sure though.

They only accept 40 for accelerated because less people apply to that track than traditional. So I would not assume traditional is less competitive... They have more people applying for traditional than accelerated. At least that is my understanding.

Jojo...Fran did a meet and greet with potential nursing students last semester and she explained that around 80 traditional and 40 accelerated are accepted in the Spring semesters. HTH!

I honestly think both tracks are pretty equally competitive. Praying hard that I get in! :-) I guess we will know in a couple months.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Sarahscarn you can not apply to both it has to be one or the other. Most people who already hold a Bachelors assume they can not t do the traditional track and go for acclerated.(at least I did until I was told other wise) However that is not true. If you did apply to both I would reach out to someone in the department and let them know for sure which track you want to choose so there is no confusion for the selection process. Good luck

Thanks I'll look into that! :)

hey BrittanyNicole what where your stats when you missed by one A if you do not mind me asking.

JoJo I had 87 on TEAS, 3As/2Bs in Math and Science, 7 As in best of 7 Prereqs and 3.14 GPA. Now I have 4As and 1B in Math and Science so I hope that helps !!

Also you can apply to both tracks, if you have a bachelors. You will be considered for the accelerated program first and if you don't make it then you will be considered for the traditional. However, as someone said earlier they get many more applicants for traditional which makes it more competitive to get into.

Anyone know when we should hear back?

rbp, what is HTH! haha

rbp, what is HTH! haha

Haha sorry! Its short hand for "hope that helps"

@BrittanyNycole I heard we should hear something by mid October at the latest.

I was looking through old spring threads and was noticing that letters were going out in the first week of October. Hopefully we know sooner rather than later
