Who is applying this Spring 2015 to get accepted next spring 2016?!!!? I am really nervous about the TEAS Exam. Has anyone taken it this year? How hard did you think it was?

Also what grades have you received in your classes and how did you do on the TEAS??

Well, I just found out KSU only transferred by graduate courses from my other school, but not my undergrad classes?? I sent my transcripts over two months ago and just now finding this out. They all WILL transfer, it just hasn't been put in the system. I called today and they told me to send another transcript and they will try to get it done. I have a feeling I will not even be eligible to get in for Spring '16 unless a miracle happens. Very frustrating when you do everything right and something doesn't work out!

Hi all! I applied for Spring 2016 as well. Except now I'm getting nervous about grades and TEAs scores! I'm retaking A&P 2 this summer (because I got a C last semester), but since we already had to submit an application, do you think they will still only look at that C, or will my credit from this semester count?

Also I got a 87.3 on the TEAs, which at the time I thought was pretty good because it was better than anyone I had spoken to, but now seeing that people are getting scores in the 90's, I'm concerned.

And to the person applying to GSU, I was going to apply to their Spring 2016 semester as well but I'm pretty sure they did away with it in the 2014-2015 school year. I keep checking back but it's still not an option on their application. Some pages on their website still have deadlines for a Spring application, but I did manage to find a page the other day that said they weren't going to have one anymore. I tried to call them but they're "closed for the holiday" so I'll have to try back on Monday.

I am applying to Gsu for spring! I currently am finishing my prereqs there now.

I am also applying to for the spring semester but the Traditional track. I hear it isn't as competitive as the Accerlated track. I'm also applying to UWG nursing program which opens the same Month KSU responses come out. Good luck to everyone!!

Hi-

I am currently a student at GSU, to clarify I mean Georgia State University, and am applying for traditional & accelerated BSN spring 2016. I can assure you that this option is still available, as my nursing advisor has directed me to the application and told me to apply.

Application and Requirements - Nursing

go to that link and click create an online application for whichever track you are doing (or both). The due date is october 1 2015.

Good luck!

hey taiti. what are your stats?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

TEAS-80

Pre-Req GPA-3.8

Math/Science GPA-4.0

Overall GPA-3.4

I applied for Spring 2016, the traditional BSN program. I got an 87.3% on the TEAS (my first time taking it, I may retake it if I don't get in) and my overall GPA is a 2.9 (it's low). My math & science GPA is 3.3 and pre-req overall is 3.2. I fully do not expect to get in with such low stats, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try, since the application didn't cost anything. I figured I'd post for those who are also in the lower-end stats-wise, since most people who are posting have much higher stats. Good luck to all those who applied.

Don't be discouraged by your stats. I was told they accept 80 in the traditional track (more than the 40 for accelerated). And I've seen all types of stats get accepted and great stats be rejected.

I agree. Don't get discouraged. I applied too, knowing I probably won't get in, because like you said, there's no fee to apply. My issue is my SUPER low TEAS score. All my results are in range (math/english are above) for national and KSU's "average" results according to my print out, but we all know the real averages they want are NOT in the 60's. I have an overall GPA of 3.86, math and science of 3.97...TEAS 68.9! I figured, the way they calculated it with the points and all, who knows, maybe I'll get lucky...and if not, I'll re-take the TEAS, and actually study for it this time. I am also applying to GSU. I don't think they weigh the TEAS AS much because of the essay and letters of recommendation they require, but just in case, I have paid to re-take the TEAS on 9/11 before GSU's October 1st application deadline for Spring. Maybe we'll hear from KSU by then and I won't need to re-take the TEAS. Good luck to all that have applied!

Hey All! I applied for the Fall and missed it by 1 A :( here is how they decided acceptance last time, hopefully its the same this upcoming semester

Best 5 of the Math/Science prerequisites

TEAS Score

Best 7 prerequisites of the 12

Overall GPA

I believe it that might even be in order of importance. Good luck!!

Is anyone applying to both the traditional and accelerated program? I'm wondering if you already have a degree can you still be considered for the traditional program? I'm nervous since the number of slots for the accelerated program is lower than the traditional. I believe I read 40 for accelerated and 80 for traditional...

The waiting is so hard!!!
