Published

Has Anyone applied for Fall 2016 yet? I just took my TEAS and applied right after that! Nervous and unsure. Now for the forever long wait come quickly May!!!

Overall GPA 3.5

5 math/science- 2 A's, 3 B's

7/12: 7 A's

TEAS 87.3

Denied! I thought that would be the case so I am already retaking some of those B classes! Still stings though! Congrats to those who got in this time!!!! Go get em!!

Where is the email? I don't see email on my owl express

Your student email address, not owl express.

Never mind I regrettably found it. Denied :(

I got accepted to the accelerated program! Now to wait for GSU...

Anyone know whether GSU or KSU is a better option?

GSU and KSU are both very reputable programs and ranked pretty high for nursing schools in Georgia. So, either way you will be properly prepared for your future career. As a student at Kennesaw, I absolutely love it here and have only heard wonderful things about the program. So I am biased when it comes to the matter. If you haven't already, I would see if you could visit the schools and check out the facilities and campus. They are going to have a completely different feel. Congratulations on your acceptance and best of luck with whichever you decide to pursue!

Hi all, I am a current KSU nursing student and just wanted to give advice I wish someone would have given me. If you are able, I highly recommend taking pathophysiology before starting the nursing program (though not sure if it is offered during the summer if you start this fall)! Most people didn't know you could do that. If you are attending a different school, check with Fran to make sure it will transfer first. It will lighten your load considerably. Also, if you are accelerated, they should give you a choice if you want to take a research class online or in class. The online class is convenient but it is more work than the on campus one. Just something to think about.

Also, for the person asking about KSU or GSU, I can only speak from my experience. GSU is very slow to respond to emails (all departments that I have had to contact) and I have heard their financial aid process is a pain, but I have not had to deal with that aspect. Also, I know the GSU campus has crime from time to time, BUT, the city aspect of the campus is very charming. KSU's financial aid process, so far, has been a breeze. I also love the KSU campus SO much. It's so convenient and something is always happening. Also, all the nursing school staff I have come in contact with have been so amazingly friendly and caring.

Congrats to everyone that got in! If it didn't happen for you this time around, do not be discouraged! Many of my classmates got in on their second or third try.

just found I was accepted by traditional program. But I applied for the accelerated program. I have a bachelor degree in another field. What happen? I emailed Fran. Anybody know if they will switch me to accelerated program.

I don't think they can switch you- from my understanding- they think you are more qualified, will have a better fit as a traditional student

Has anyone checked their KSU emails? I just received my acceptance into the accelerated track!

Fran said if I could finish all of core courses by August, they will switch me to accelerated. It is so hard for me to finish them in the short time. Have to stay in the traditional program.

Im accepted to accelerated too. But what SUCKS is because I am a transfer I can't sign up for classes until July (if I want to pay 65 for orientation) or August (for no orientation)! UGHHHH!!
