Kennesaw State University ABSN Fall 2014

Published

Hey everyone,

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying to KSU'S ABSN (or even traditional) program and thought I would start one. I am taking the TEAS pretty late (early January) and will have most of my pre-reqs done by December, but I'm pretty nervous. I have around a 3.5 from my bachelors degree at UGA and will probably end up with around the same in pre-reqs. It seems pretty competitive so not sure of my chances! Hope I can blow the TEAS out of the water. :)

If I did my researching correctly on here, applicants were hearing pretty late last year, like late April and May. I hope they can end the suspense a little earlier this year!

Anyone else applying?

Yay just got my email!!! :) I applied for the traditional program.

I got the email as well and I am in! Congrats to those who got in and good luck to those who are waiting!

Didnt get one....so probably means i didnt get in for the 3rd time...guess im,going,to north georgia

I also got the email - hello future classmates, and good luck to everyone wherever you have applied! I know acceptance letters are going out for other schools as well.

My friend applied to the accelerated program and got her email with a congratulations. The emails are still correct though, don't be confused that you haven't received your letter yet, it's all the same! Good luck everyone!!

A few years ago there was a horrible glitch with the department mass-emailing the students. It ended up letting all recipients see who got in and who didn't. I think they send them one by one now to avoid that issue. So don't be discouraged yet! Give it a few days :)

I haven't gotten an email. Hopefully, I'll find out where I stand soon. Maybe I've been waitlisted?

Okay, I am a little confused. If we take Patho this summer, we will basically just have a lighter load the first fall semester? But we are not required to take it this summer, correct?

Yes that is right. Patho requires a lot of study time so it can be helpful to take it before the nursing classes. I took it along with 3 online classes last semester but it took up the majority of my time.

Im in it now and is by far the hardest class ive ever taken...i wouldnt recommended it ib tge summer

I can't decide what to do about patho . I know it would be nice to have a lighter load the first semester but it always makes it harder when it's squeezed into 8 weeks! What is everyone else doing?

I am taking patho this fall. My friends who are in the program said they recommend taking it fall because summer patho would be pretty fast paced and would consume a lot of your summer.
