Hey!
Has anyone applied to KSU for the Spring 2014 program?
Elliot08- I was given an override to take Patho this semester as there were spots available in the course and it is the only course I can take without having to be enrolled in some sort of insurance through the school. I have been incredibly persistent so I think that's why I was eventually able to get an override. That would honestly be my best suggestion for anyone who doesn't get in- Don't sell yourself short and do NOT think you are not worthy. Be incredibly persistent and if you're wanting to stay at KSU and take multiple attempts to get in, do whatever is suggested to make yourself more competitive. When I was denied for this fall, I was very forward about the fact that I wanted to do whatever it took to stay at KSU and I know that I have worked incredibly hard to get here. Getting into patho was a COMPLETELY last minute thing. Plus, I was very persistent all summer about wanting to take the course if there were spots available.
tsmalls24-I am sure some people didn't show up. As an example, a friend of mine applied to KSU just to see if she would get an interview. Kind of stinks because she is now at another school but applied merely to see if she would be granted an interview. She was granted an interview and then turned down the interview and didn't go because obviously she is in another program at this point. Kind of stinks. I'm do think they open up interviews to people who were originally denied though...a friend of mine (who is now graduated from KSU's program) had a friend who was denied and then was contacted a few weeks later and able to get an interview because of people who denied their interview and did not sign up. So not sure if they are still doing it that way in terms of filling in the gaps, but I am sure that there were some who just did not show for whatever reason..doubt it was many though, as most of us who sign up for the interview slots REALLY want to be there anyways!!
Hi guys - while you guys are waiting patiently for your letters, I have a question. I am planning to apply for next spring 2015. I currently have a degree and thought it might be best to apply for the traditional program to increase my chances of getting in but I would prefer the accelerated program. Do they ever move people who applied for traditional into the accelerated program? Can I check both options on my application? Appreciate any feedback and good luck!! :)

This is not my first attempt applying to KSU- I have applied FOUR times. The first two semesters I knew it wasn't happening- I had taken my teas exams too close together and had bad scores for both so I had to wait a year. At that point, I was applying with a 77 on my TEAS and a 3.6 GPA. I retook my teas in Feb and received by 84 and raised my GPA to a 3.75, however, I still did not get an interview for fall. I retook my freshman math class for an A (as advised) and got my interview this semester! It has been a journey, that is for sure!
