Kennesaw State Uni. Spring 2014 Nursing

Published

Hey!

Has anyone applied to KSU for the Spring 2014 program?

For those who have been interviewed. Was it a panel or one person? (And for those who go to KSU) Did you recognize any of the interviewers?

two people interviewed me

Yeah same here and no I had not met them before. They said that they don't even help with the decision. They just write down some of your answers and someone else looks at that to make the final decision.

That's interesting. I wonder if the interviewers jot down things about your posture and demeanor as well.

am not sure why they conduct the interviews; if they don't play a part in the final decision making.

I guess not having the interviewers be part of the decision-making process eliminates bias.

I only had one interviewer. And she mentioned that the interviewers give an overview to the committee making the decision.

I really don't like that setup but whatever.

My interviewer didn't say anything about not being part of the decision process so I don't know if that's true for all the interviewers, if that's just the case for the interviewers that were helping out for time slots that no one else could fill or what ever other possible scenarios. I know from things she said and from the assistant at the main desk that my interviewer is a nursing professor but I have no idea if that means whether or not she has a final say in admissions.

someone also told me that all the interviewers are nursing professors

The interviewers are nursing professors. They will be teaching your classes. It is a behavioral interview. Were you able to carry on a conversation with your interviewer? Did you appear to be confident and engaged? If your interview lasted about 25 minutes long then you have a very good chance of getting a spot.

my interview didnt even last 20mins. at this point, is the final decision base on GPA+Teas+interview or solely on interview?
