  1. I'm currently in it now. You should read the last couple of threads to get a good idea of what you would potentially getting yourself into. From the scope of things thus far (4 months in), it's not a bad school if you can manage time and locating clinical sites yourself. Do not expect a lot of help from the school. I have found my clinical sites but it took many many phone calls everywhere within a 1 hour radius of my place. Also, there frequent rule changes when it comes to things like clinical requirements so you have to really keep in touch with your clinical coordinator to stay up to date one everything. Overall, I'm happy I applied to this program. I went to a "amazing", tough to get into BSN program and I thought mostly everything I learned hardly came from the school and mostly came from clinical or precepting experience.
  2. Here's a old thread to get a good idea of what type of scores they want: https://allnurses.com/georgia-nursing/kennesaw-state-fall-795196.html https://allnurses.com/georgia-nursing/kennesaw-state-uni-830809.html I just started their Accelerated BSN program this semester. My scores were 3.77 GPA and 89.3 on the TEAs. I've heard mixed scores from a lot of folks so I'm not exactly sure what the avg is. Good luck!
  3. Thanks for all the replies. I'll try some of these approaches/methods.
  4. This is my first semester into nursing school and I'm into the 5th week of clinical. Today, a 90+ lady had soiled herself and I told the CNA that I would help her clean it up. Needless to say, the smell made me have multiple gag responses. I held it in and never really came close to puking, but I had to go to the nearest restroom. I had to flush my eyes because they were burning like someone was cutting onions. I thought it was alarming that I had this response due to the nature of the duties I am expected to do. I asked my buddy and he told me to just wear a mask and place something sweet into the mask to cover up the stringent odors. Any advice on the situation? Is this something people just get used to or what? Thanks.
  5. I was really surprised you did not get in the first time with your scores.
  6. Just received my letter, I got into the accelerated program. Good luck to you ladies and gents. Stay patient, this thread has been good luck. I live in grayson which is about an hr and 15 minutes away.
  7. My jimmies are being rustled with all this delay.
  8. 15 online readers...all waiting for someone to say something.
  9. We're supposed to find out this week, right?
  10. After I transferred my credits from GSU (which uses the +/- system), I looked at the transfer credits page and they converted my B+'s to B and A- to A's.
  11. The question that blanked me was name a situation where you caught a employee doing something unethical and how you handled it. LOL, I asked her if I could name a situation where I was in a ethical dilemma instead and she said that was perfectly fine. I'm not sure if that was wise but I really didn't have any story where I caught a co-worker doing something obviously unethical. I'll be stalking this page myself. So far, mostly everybody that posted on this thread has been fortunate so far. I hope it continues.
  12. Not sure but I was told by the lady who was doing the followup survey assessment that there was 150 people interviewed in total. Supposedly, 40 out of 60 are chosen to be accepted into the accelerated program. So that leaves 90 people being interviewed for the traditional program. Then again, this could all be wrong because based on the number of interview slots, there could only be 120 interviews in total (as pointed out earlier by JoannaSmith). So this whole post could be useless but I figured I would share my thoughts on the matter
  13. I was interviewed for the accelerated track and I had one interviewer. She asked similar questions that JoannaSmith posted. I forgot my interviewer's name but she did psychiatry nursing.
  14. She was just being nice because of the story I told her. No biggie. I'm sure you did just fine, Bluebell.
  15. Just got done with my interview. It was with one person and she was a really nice woman. My interview lasted a little bit over 25 min. I think I may have been too detailed:cautious: but she did say at one point that she could already tell that I would be a great nurse :). The results for that assessment examination were interesting.
