Kennesaw State Uni. Spring 2014 Nursing

Hey!

Has anyone applied to KSU for the Spring 2014 program?

I haven't posted anything on here yet, but I've been lurking. So today is tuesday and the interview section still says "interview sessions are full" does this still say this for anyone else? I wanted to follow the rules and actually sign up when the letter said, but now I'm worried. I guess I'll have to call them.

I'm looking at the same message.

I am getting the msg. definetely need to call

Ok I just called. They said it's broken :/ and they'll call me back when it's fixed.

I called as well. The lady said an email will be sent out to everyone later.

I was able to register about a hr ago

Interview sign-up is available

I signed up for my interview for the first Friday... now I'm reconsidering it, because maybe Fridays aren't good interview days (interviewer distracted by upcoming weekend). I feel like I'll do better with an afternoon interview, but also read earlier interviews are better slots. I'm probably thinking from too many angles that really don't matter, but I'm trying to set up my best scenario.

McEm, when you say earlier interviews are better slots, do you mean they have a better chance of getting in the program? I signed up for one of the last days, but I wouldn't want to be at a disadvantage...

I was just reading some online advice. You can google "best time to interview" and read the same articles. I guess it all depends on how they coordinate interviews: does the same person do it all day; do they do multiple interviews all in a row or alternate out the person doing interviews? If it's the same person, they may get interview-fatigue near lunch or by the end of the day. Also, do they "score" you as they go along or compile everything at the end? If it's as they go along, if someone before you gets high scores from them, they're more likely to score you lower even if you did just as well as the other person. However, if they compile at the end, the later interviewees have the advantage of being better remembered...

Ah I see. I never really thought of interviews like that before. I'll make sure to read those articles as well.

I had a mock interview today and my interviewer mentioned my resume; I told her that submitting resumes was not part of the application and that we were not instructed to bring them with us for the actual interview. Has anyone heard of them asking for resumes or something similar during the interview?

Mack13,

A former classmate of mine interviewed last semester, and she said they don't ask for resumes and such during the interview.
