Kennesaw State Fall 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. Georgia

Just wondering if anyone out there is planning to apply to Kennesaw State for the Fall of 2013. I know the deadline is 3 months away, but I wanted to get a thread started for anyone interested in discussing the process as we go along!

What did they ask you? Mine questions were so broad that I didn't know where to reach for an answer.

How do you think you did?

I was hoping to come across a little more collected but nerves got the best Of me.

One of my questions was like "tell us of a time when your attention to detail helped you solve a problem." I was like...what. They were all weirdly specific for me. I was super prepared for all these questions...and I didn't get any of them.

I got that same question. Wasn't prepared for it all. What time was your interview? I ended up going to the Commons and sitting for 2 hours before hand and drinking way too much coffee while preparing answers. That may be why my mind was so scattered. Hmmm.

3:30. Last one of the day. Oh goodness thats terrible, I would not be able to sit there for so long. I watched Boy Meets World until the last second I needed to leave. Because that's my type of preparation. I had a list of like 30 questions I was ready to respond to. They didn't get close to any of them. Way to go online research.

Well- it's over and we will know soon enough. I'm sure you did just fine. Best wishes.

Mine is tomorrow so I don't know what the questions are yet. Well it is good you got it over with. I'm ready to get mine done... Were the interviewers nice?[/quote']

Good luck today!

My questions were very specific too. I was prepared for those open ended questions I found on this site and the ones they asked me in the mock. It was like they took those questions and spun them. I had one's similar to that attention to detail question you posted. I pretty much didn't answer their question directly, used an example I already had prepared, and tried to make it answer their question haha! At one point, I even said "wow, that's a tough question" to buy me some time. :)

I have enough work experience behind me that I was able to answer the specific questions fairly well.. maybe too well. At the end of the interview one of the interviewers told me "I think your job sounds so interesting!"

D'oh!

It makes me think I undersold on my interest in nursing. I hope that doesn't end up biting me. I guess I'll know in a month. (Sigh)

Good luck today!

Thank you! I'll definitely let you know how I did. I'm glad the ladies were nice though. I'm actually very nervous now because I'm reading here that the interviewers asked very specific questions. Wonderful... I don't think I'm prepared for those types of questions...

Mine were very broad. So just take your time and think of something. They aren't going to rush you

That's good to know. I hope I get questions like yours. :nailbiting:

They asked me what made me feel like I was prepared for the rigors of nursing school, name a time where attention to detail helped me solve a problem, name a time where I made a mistake, name a time I showed compassion, how do I manage time.
