Hello,
is there anyone out there that has applied for KSU's BSN program for Fall 2012? I know it is really early and the deadline isn't until Jan. 31, 2012, but just wanted to see if anyone will be playing the waiting game with me this early. I actually applied for the Spring 2012, but got wait-listed. I hope I get in, but the reality is that everyone I've heard of that was in my same situation didn't get in. I'll just give KSU one more try.
@danceluver,
I supplemented my science studying with the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam study guide because the TEAS study guide doesn't cover a lot of science compared to what was on the test.
Also, here is a link to the admissions office mailing address http://www.kennesaw.edu/admissions/contact_ksu.html
Transcripts are sent to admissions, and then the registrars office evaluates them for credits that will be accepted.
@danceluver,
I actually don't have time to scan all those pages. It's a lot because it covers all sciences (physical and earth, chemistry, anatomy, biology, physics). If you are near a Barnes and Noble, you can go in the store and use the book to study in the store. Hopefully your B&N still has study tables in it because the ones by me removed the tables because they are trying to cut down on customers using the books in store instead of buying them. You can also buy the book (it's like $20) then return it within 30 days as long as there are no markings in the book.

Yea, do this! I did this and I was in B & N all day long lol.... don't buy anything if you don't have too. The only thing I ever bought was the ATI manual. I used all the other nursing books all day long!
Island, did you find out if you got off the waiting list?(sorry, I haven't been here in a while)
@karamarie,
Still waiting. F said that they have to wait until final exams to see if there will be any room. She sounded optimistic, and when I did a class search, there are 30-50 spots open for the classes I would need to take. So I have my fingers crossed, and hoping ALL first semester students pass their classes with C's or higher...LOL!

oooh, that's some good news. What is the minimum grade you need in the nursing classes to pass? A "C"?

Hey there! I am already a student at the school because I'm doing my prereqs there, but I haven't done the actual nursing program application. I'll probably do it sometime early January. There is def a lot of a&p on the teas! A lot of info on how cells are arranged and what some organs are used for. No worries though, the book is the most helpful!
