  1. hey guys! I am the Publications and Media Director for KSU's SNA. I have created your facebook page for everyone entering next semester. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/groups/155588221252925/?fref=ts. If for some reason that doesn't work just search "KSU Nursing Incoming Class Spring 2013" :) Please add this to your groups as soon as possible. I have created an event on the page for GANS so you guys will have more info. It would be an excellent opportunity if you could come even if it's just for 1 day. Feel free to add me on facebook as well (Brigitte Bennett).
  2. I'm taking it in class..It is a lot of article reading, 2 exams, and we have one big group project due at the end of the semester. I've heard that you have to write a few papers in the online section but there isn't a group project. So it really would be which you would prefer...If I could go back I would probably take it online but that's just my personal opinion :)
  3. Congrats to everyone on receiving acceptance letters!! Definitely don't get discouraged if you are on standby!! I started the accelerated program this semester and absolutely love it! It is a lot of hard work but I feel myself thinking more and more like a nurse everyday. It's crazy how much you can learn in such a short amount of time. Take time for yourself over these next few months, you will be glad you did when january rolls around! Can't wait to meet you all at orientation :)
  4. Starting to look through the calculate with confidence book wouldn't be a bad idea. You can buy the previous edition of the new book on amazon for pretty cheap. You'll have a dosage calculation test within the first few weeks of school and you HAVE to make a 90 or above to stay in the class (don't worry, its pretty easy and you get 2 chances)
  5. @triciah, I would check to make sure the online class is acceptable. I don't think it would be a problem but I would just double check since they are pretty specific about requirements.
  6. hey guys!! congrats to everyone on getting interviews. I started the accelerated program in August and would be happy to answer questions to the best of my ability :)
  7. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that letters will go out today! Good luck to everyone!
  8. gtqueen, Thanks for all of your advice! It's definitely a relief to hear that a part time job is possible. I want to take out the least amount of loans as possible.
  9. I looked too..nothing yet
  10. gtqueen, yes thank you for all the info! I am applying to the accelerated program. I was thinking about trying to work part time while I'm in school. Do you think this is even do-able?
  11. Thank you for your encouragement qtqueen371! Are you in the traditional or accelerated program?
  12. I think someone said earlier in this post that 80 were being interviewed and 60 will be accepted? I'm not sure if this is just for traditional or traditional + accelerated.
  13. Ugh! I know the wait is killing me...I mean I feel fairly confident but you just never know until that letter arrives!
  14. Planetleah, I interviewed with a panel but I wouldn't be worried about interviewing with one person. It was probably just an issue with not having enough faculty at that day/time to have 2-3 interviewers. You have great grades and TEAS score. I think you'll be fine!
  15. Last day of interviews! Hope everyone did well..now it's another wait :uhoh21:
