Hello everyone, I am looking in to attending keiser in october. I was told i have to pass the teas test to be accepted into the program. I want to hear from anyone who attends keiser or recent grads, on your thoughts and experience with this school.

I am applying to Keiser as well, for Spring. Yes, you must pass the TEAS in order to be accepted. You will also need to finish all your pre reqs. If you have met with an admissions counselor they will be able to give you the info for the nursing program. Keiser is actually my first choice (I am applying to 3 different schools). The people at my campus are great. I even got to meet one of the instructors in the program and asked her a bunch of questions and liked what I heard. And yes, it is expensive. But in the end you have to choose the school that is right for you. I would suggest checking out a few schools, and go from there.
Yes keiser is very expensive, but their class schedule is very convenient for me to work while in the program. I like how you only take two nursing classes per semester. If I am able to pass the teas test within the two attempts. Then I will be attending keiser. What campus are interested in attending? I am trying to attend the jacksonville, fl campus. I am a little worried about how financial aid will cover the tuition for the program. I can not afford much out of pocket. But I hope things work out for you and you are accepted into the one of the 3 schools you are applying too.
Thanks! And I totally understand. I have an appointment next week to see what kind of a financial aid package I can get if I attend their program. I am hoping it will cover the majority. &fingers crossed& I couldn't agree with you more about the classes. You can focus on one class at a time and only two nursing classes per semester. Even though it's an accelerated program, one class at a time makes it doable. I am applying to the West Palm campus. I wish you luck on the TEAS! Give yourself enough time to study. Good Luck!

Although I'm not close enough yet I am doing my research and looking into the PSL campus. Keep us posted on your process and journey along the way.
Yes they are very expensive as I've only heard but they are very reputable and have excellent pass rate. These are of few of what I will be looking for when choosing my next program. I'm currently in a LPN program will 3 months to go.
Good luck to all!
Thank you and good luck too as well nlitened.Keep me posted on how things go with financial aid. To aspiring 2be great: I also currently attend a lpn program im in my 3 quarter, their is a total of 4 quarters. I am looking into switching nursing program due financial problems. I currently don't work but if I attend keiser I would be able to work. I will keep you posted on if I decide to attend keiser or not. Good luck on your journey to becoming a nurse my fellow soon to be nurses. :)

I am a recent graduate this past April. Just a heads up even though your only taking 2 classes a semester they are very demanding. You won't have much time to work. Your gonna have clinical, homework, ATI, and exams. Your class schedule changes a lot. And each semester gets harder.
But Keiser is a good school. In my opinion. Passed the NCLEX in June with 75 questions. Received 4 new grad residency job offers. And now I am going to be working for the VA hospital.
Congrats RNpearls1908! Thanks for the heads up and the advice! I am hoping to work per diem or not at all. I want to succeed and get everything I need out of the program to be a great nurse. And hopefully I too will pass the NCLEX in 75 questions;) Good Luck at your new job!
Thanks. And good luck

I am currently attending Keiser orlando and am in process with my prereqs. I'll be done by August and then can start my core nursing classes come fall 2015. I love Keiser. Yes expensive but they have small class sizes of about 24 students and excellent pass rates. You don't feel like a # like w a big university. I have this month off so I'm studying for my teas and will hopefully be taking it at the end of this month.
As far as financial aid I maxed out my first year loans and had $7000 gap that I needed covered but I get tuition assistance through my employer. My advice is if you can get your prereqs done at cc and transfer to Keiser. I didn't do that because I work full time and a the modular schedule I can take one class a month and focus on that one class and still be full time instead of splitting my attention between 4 classes for 16 weeks.
Good luck to everyone !
Just had my FA meeting. It looks like FA will cover all of my first two semesters (the rest of this FA "year"), and then when I file my income tax next year will find out about the last two semesters. The first two semesters will be covered by a grant, scholarships, and a federal loan...no need for a private loan. So I am super excited about that!
And thanks BrittneeRN for letting us know your experience with KU. Study, Study, Study, and good luck with the TEAS!
That's great nlitened ! I just recently moved to Florida so I don't have residency established and cannot get state grants. But after your first semester at Keiser if you keep a certain gpa you also get a scholarship. So I just had to get through this year and with my tuition reimbursement I'm filling that gap.
Good luck with your acceptance process !
