@NurseRJICU I haven't heard of them filling the next cohort before finishing another.

I'm not sure if protocols have changed but when I applied I specified which cohort I wanted to join and they clarified with me which one I was looking to enter; because at the time of my interview it was before both the August or January had started

Hello everyone, I applied to January 2024 and am waiting to hear back for an interview. @RNtoCRNA1 I have been extremely nervous about didactical. I know with enough time I can understand the content, I guess I am just afraid of the volume and the difficulty with the time crunch. How many hours a day do you study? Do you have tips on how to prepare before school and while in school? Like certain study habits or apps you use? I joined all nurses just to get some real advice from someone going through it. Thank you.

It's definitely a lot but it's manageable. In total between class and studying I would say anywhere from 40-50 hours a week time commitment. So on a day without class I'm typically 9-6 but I take breaks to eat, etc. on a class day I study in between the classes. I try to take off one full day a week. In the beginning you're going to feel like you cannot take a moment to rest but I promise over time it gets more comfortable. It's all about time management. First semester is tough because it's all thrown at once and a lot of us have been out of school for a few years so it takes some getting used to. I personally would buy a Quizlet plus membership it's like $30. A lot of people make flash cards with it, some use Anki but there's a learning curve. Quizlet is easier in my opinion. Feel free to message me if you are looking for any other advice I'm happy to help.

@RNtoCRNA1 thank you so much. I am appreciate your feedback. Right now I am studying for the interview. With the clinical questions, how detailed do they except you to respond. For example, metoprolol. Obviously a beta blocker and what the effects are, but do they want us know for example the pathway of beta 1 on the G protein pathway and how it affects cAMP etc... sorry if that doesn't make sense I am still trying to understand it.

Basically any drugs know the mechanism of action to the cellular level. Receptors, tissues, etc. And any clinical experience on your resume be prepared to explain and answer questions about patient scenarios etc.

I currently attend the program and am in the didactic phase. What are you specifically looking to know?

question for you. You said that you have to move to naples. Once clinical start, how many days a week are you going to clinical sites. I live like 2 and some change hours away from naples. just trying to see how realistic it would be to drive. thanks

I have not started clinical yet but there are different hubs- primarily naples or Tampa but I think Orlando, SEFL and some other areas in FL are also becoming options. From what I've heard clinical is 3-4 days a week depending on the site. That's all the info I have

Hi! I am starting January 2024. Wondering if anyone else is starting in January? Trying to see who else might be joining the cohort!
