  1. I don't believe you can. you will have to decline and reapply. But ask them!
  2. in last years thread I saw people were starting to get invites in June. Barry accepts 10 people every month until the deadline and by the deadline they have about 40 seats left. IDK if that's changing but that's how it was last cycle. this is the second round for me
  3. question for you. You said that you have to move to naples. Once clinical start, how many days a week are you going to clinical sites. I live like 2 and some change hours away from naples. just trying to see how realistic it would be to drive. thanks
  4. hey! I was thinking of doing Reva as well. when you say kick butt what do you mean? Would someone with a family be away from them for extended periods of time? safe to assume that the week you're off you're off and the week you're on you're gone? curious about the work life balance. thank you
  5. Gotta hate that dress code. I can't use my blue greys anatomy top lol
  6. Psychology minor that sounds awesome. One of my nursing teachers has the credentials CCM for Certified Case Manager, having this minor may give you a firm foot hold for that if it interests you.
  7. I'm in your same boat (working and going to school full time), the people that love me do complain from time to time and they do make me feel a little selfish at times. However the bottom line is that as long as you do not feel like you are drowning with responsibilities, it is not selfish to want to better yourself through education. Let the people you love know that you are doing this for them as well as yourself and if they love you, they will understand. Its only normal for them to feel neglected because they want to spend time with you. Also remember to not let yourself get overwhelmed. Anywho, good luck!
  8. congratulations! Hard work pays off in the end!
  9. Thanks for the heads up. People hear "nursing shortage" and they automatically think it will be easy to get employed. Congratulations on finding a job yourself.
  10. Grey's Anatomy scrubs are perfect for the petite woman. They're pretty expensive tho, but soooo stylish
  11. I love the scrubs. Since i'm very petite, i find that normal XS sizes are WAAAAY too large for me and the grey's anatomy scrubs just fit nicer and are a little more stylish, however they're so pricey i can only really afford to buy 1 complete set at a time lol. Or once a year when my job gives $100 credit for scrubs.
  12. I too haven't heard from egan in a few weeks... he's supposed to be helping me with my loan... i wonder if he's on vacation... Have you tried just showing up to financial aid?
  13. hello! Hope you all get into the program. I will probably see you all since i will be beginning GI/GU when you all enter process 1. We are a very friendly group and if you see any of us August 2011-ers don't hesitate to ask us any questions! Lord knows i was like when i first entered the program. Don't let them scare you like they scared me into thinking this program is impossible. Be prepared for some stressful times in nursing process 1 and 2 with patient encounters/demos, but they're picky with admission for a reason. Nursing students are the cream of the crop so you can definitely do it. Good luck and see you next year!
