Keeping or selling textbooks

Published

Hello, I was wondering if normally after passing NCLEX boards, textbooks were kept or sold. I have kept all of my textbooks since I started the nursing program although I can use the space in my garage. So I would like to know which ones should I keep or sell. Thanks

Can't answer the question you are asking (have not started program yet)- but ALL of you people who sold your books, I think I bought them. ALL. Every last one, from ALL 'ya.

Space in your garage- yes, I'm looking around my living room and know exactly what you mean.

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

I'm selling my books, though I'm thinking I might keep a couple of the ones that pertain to my desired areas, considering I am using them to study for an upcoming interview. Most of my books I either have sold or am selling on Half.

I sold most of mine. Kept my Taber's, drug guide, lab analysis, and a&p book.

Back in my day, there was no internet so to speak. I kept my books as the basis of a professional library. However, in today's world, I would advise students to sell their books in deference to what is available online. You might want to keep hard copies of the basic references that hawksrn mentions, but you could easily make the investment in online applications for your smartphone as an alternative.
