Well, I interviewed back in November, got an acceptance letter in December, was notified that that was a mistake and that I was infact an alternate.
Yesterday, I received a call that a slot was now open for me, I accepted it, and class starts in two weeks!
That my friends, has just about turned my life up-side-down. I mean, I'm happy and excited and scared all at the same time. The scary part is that I have two weeks to make arrangements! Oh well, I will do it somehow, with God's help.
I was accepted at UAB; so if any of you are starting UAB in two weeks and are from Tuscaloosa, I'm definitely interested in car pooling...
I'm a bit scatter brained right now, so if you have any words of wisdom, especially for during the next two weeks, please share!

Congrats. I feel bad that you had such a roller coaster of a ride. Maybe you should ask for a tuition discount for mental anguish. Good luck in school.

:balloons: Congratulations. I personally believe that getting organized is the key to success. Start by making a list of everything you need to accomplish in two weeks and work on it. You will do fine.

Yahoooooooooo! How exciting! I second the idea of writing the 2 week to do list and attacking it. You will do great. Keep us posted on how things are going for you. :balloons:

Gump,
I am so glad to hear you finally got good news. I have been watching and wondering if you had ever been accepted anywhere and had wanted to ask if anyone had heard about you. Glad all that is finally over. I am sure that you will be extremely busy in the next few weeks, but it will be worth it in the end. I just finished the 1st term at Samford's CRNA Program just up the road from you in Birmingham. Glad that is behind me. Good luck in school and again congratulations.

Congratulations!! I can't imagine how you must have felt when you were notified of the alternate status, how terrible. I myself believe in lists, unfortunately, I have several on various sizes and types of paper, :chuckle . Maybe make on large outline list of everthing you need including finances, living, wrapping up the job, books, registration, accessories, etc with bullets. Good luck!
