  1. Congratulations!!!! I also start CRNA school in January I am excited but nervous all at the same time.
  2. When I went to Barry's interview and information session they stated that they try to place you according to were you live, but there is no gurantee
  3. Hi, Vinn I understand what you are experiencing, I applied to school with 6months experience as a nurse, by the time I interviewed I had 11 months, I just found out that I was accepted to the first program that I interviewed with. My advice to you is to nail the interview portion show them that you really want this, and that you are knowledgable about the nurse anesthetist role. I was questioned about my experience level and why they should choose me over someone with more experience, I believe that I provided a good response to this question, and really impressed them in the interview. Good luck to you!!!!!
  4. Thank you guys! This discussion board is great! I'm counting the days until school actually starts.
  5. EmeraldNYL my program will also be 27mo. we are definitely going to have to keep in touch and compare notes. vcwr11 I am planning to take the online refresher class, what about you?
  6. Hi guys I just found out today that I have been accepted to Barry University for the class starting Jan. 2005 I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I did not do that great on the Gre myself total score in the 900's but I was granted an interview several places so evidently I looked good enough on paper to get an interview, will not know the status until September for the first school, and have an interview August 21st for the second school. I will keep you posted on the outcome.
  8. Congradulations, and good luck in school!!!!!!!!!
  9. Hi, Donn I visited several of the programs that I applied to prior to submitting my application, just to make sure that they were a good fit for me. I contacted the program prior to my visit to set up an appointment with the director, they were all very accepting and informative, and they seemed pleased that I showed an interest in the anesthesia field.
  10. Hi guys, I justed landed my second interview, the first one is at Barry Univ. on July 24, can anyone tell me about Barrys program, their interview process etc. and the second one is at Univ of Penn Aug 23,
  11. How many years of ICU experience did you have, I was told by the University of Penn that I was exempt from taking the GRE because of my gpa, but they recommended that I take it because of my limited amount of experience as a nurse. The director of the program said that this would make me a more competitive candidate.
  12. thank you guys for the advice, I will retake the test
  13. Hi everybody today I took the GRE and I am very disappointed with the results. I scored a 500 on the quantitave and 400 on the verbal, I know that most schools require a combined score of 1000. Can anyone tell me if they have gotten in on scores such as this, my other credentials are gpa 3.8, with 1 year of icu experience. I am considering retaking the test next month, any advice is helpful.
  14. Thank you for the updated information.
