KCC ADN Fall 2018

Published

Hey guys I applied for the Fall 2018 ADN Nursing program at KCC. I wanted to know who else applied and for those that already got in to the program, what were your stats/qualifications?

My stats are:

Pre-reqs - 2B's the rest A's

Coreqs - Humanities A and Pharm (taking this sem)

Teas - 82.7%

Exp - CNA exp for over 2 years. Working at a hospital now.

Thank you and Good luck to everyone who applied!!

One of the counselors was saying that around 70% of the classes usually consist of students with work or training experience. I'd say you're still in a decent position, especially since they consider lower than that expected 78% TEAS scores.

Wow that's awesome! Congrats on graduating the program! Was it difficult to get into the LPN-ADN Transition program? I was also thinking about applying for that program as well.

Our entire class (~13 students) passed the LPN boards and applied immediately for the upcoming LPN-ADN cohort. Out of the 13 students 4 were accepted and the rest of us were wait listed for the following semester (ALL of the remaining students were accepted into the following semester). Basically the 4 students only graduated a semester before us.

Hopefully my timeline makes sense.

Good luck to everyone applying. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I just really want to get in :-(. My stats:

Prereqs- 1B and the rest A's

Coreqs- Humanities A and Pharm B

Teas- 86%

Exp- CNA certification and work exp, but only submitted my certification card

Oh wow. Considering how competitive the program is, it would be a dream come true to get into that program! best of luck to all of us.

@Trashboat

Thank you for the information! It was very useful!

Awesome stats! Good luck to you!

Hey guys, good luck to everyone! We should be hearing back any day now.

My stats:

Pre-req's: 4.0

Co-req's: 4.0

TEAS: 90.7%

CNA certificate, no work experience yet

Those are awesome stats. I'd be surprised if you didn't get in. Did the advisers give you a date when they'd send the letters out?

Thanks, @riveeezpoo! I spoke with Wes when I handed in my application, and he said late March/early April.

Wow jules_mcd! Amazing stats! I think you will get in! Please let us know if you do.

Has anyone heard anything from KCC yet? The anticipation is killing me!
