I think 64 is a pretty good score. I took the Kaplan class and they told us a 65% was very good. I have a friend who took her boards last week and studied only with a Kaplan book. She was getting in the 60's on her tests. She passed with 75 questions.
I am scheduled for boards July 8th .. I am using the Kaplan q bank and the NCLEX 3500 (free online edition) for review. Hope this helps and good luck to you.
I never reviewed nclex in test mode because i didn't have the patience. I didn't take any exam that will somehow gauge my chance of passing. I was always just in the review mode. I was panicky too before i took nclex since i just self-reviewed. But i did it. I passed. So i think that with the patience you have, and the test scores you are getting in your review, you will definitely be an RN.
Like others have said, a 64 is a good score. I would keep practicing questions because it'll get used to you answering NCLEX style questions. Also, you'll run across topics/concepts you may have never thought of before. Those little tid bits will stick in your mind with repitition. My med/surg class was horrible and ended over 6 months ago. I walked away feeling like I learned very little. But by going through Kaplan's questions I couldn't believe how much I picked up on in 3 weeks. It's a very good refresher.

Hey guys...so I am taking my NCLEX sometime in July (no att yet). I took the comprehensive 180 question ATI when I graduated and had a 97% chance of passing on the first try. I have been studying for about two weeks now and today took the 180 question Kaplan practice test at the back of the book (I am not taking the class)...I got a 64! I'm not sure where to go from here with my studying...should I keep doing questions? Should I go back to the books? I don't know what my Kaplan score indicates or which would be more beneficial :sstrs: ugh, i'm dissappointed and don't know exactly which direction to turn...
