Hi! I'm also taking my NCLEX next thurs! What state are you from?
I took Kaplan as well and our scores are kind of similar. My overall qbank score is 62%. My readiness is 66% and my qtrainer 6 is 69%. I'm waiting to take the qtrainer 7 maybe this monday. What are you doing to study now? I'm pretty much out of questions already so I'm just using the sample tests now. I don't know how else to study =/
Hi. I just finished kaplan qbank and ended up with a 59 :/ I am from NM how about you? Ive done the sample test 1 and 2 with scores of a 70 and a 66. I dont know what else to do anymore!! Im sick of studying but i feel guilty if im not studying. The big day is soon and kaplan has tons of questions....I want to go through them again but I know I wont get through all of them...Have you talked to anyone else about your scores, and if so, what do they say? None of my friends are using kaplan so I have no one to compare to. Im getting scared, I even want to reschedule!

You will be fine. Don't reschedule. I had a 62% on my qbank. and 60% avergage for my QT. I took my boards yesterday with 75 questions and passed! I thought Kaplan questions were harder to be hinest. Just do rationales and go over labs and contact/airborne/droplet precautions.
rn_soon: I'm from CA. Same here, I'm sick of studying too! I just finished sample test 1 and got 60% then sample test 2 with 70%. I'm gonna wait to take sample test 3 tomorrow so I'll have at least some questions left. When are you gonna take qtrainer 7? Well there was a thread about kaplan and nclex and from what I saw, people with similar scores as us passed! I'm still really scared though. Are you using anything else to study?
sabs: Thanks so much for sharing! Did you only use kaplan to study? What did you do on the last week or few days left before the big test? I'm out of questions already..I tried doing other questions from other books, but it wasn't the same as kaplan so I stopped and decided to just focus on Kaplan style questions. What did you get on qtrainer 6 & 7?
Yes. I did Kaplan content videos and questions. I also used a pharm mneumonics book because I had a hard time memorizing meds. on QT 6 i got 62% and QT 7 i got 60%. I did 85% of my Qbank questions.
The day before- I did 50 questions in the morning and read the Allnurses Study guide twice. The day of, read the study guide twice and went in and took the test.
Sabs: Thank you for sharing....it gives me hope! Do you think the all nurses study guide helped. Ive read it once and was planning on reading it two more times before my exam.
Watermelon21: Ive only been using kaplan. Im going to take QT 6 and 7 on mon and tues. Over the weekend just go over rationales. I hope kaplan workks for me.
It was very helpful. ESP the review on contact precautions!

Can someone tell me the difference of the qtrainer with that of qbank? Are the questions harder in qbanks thank on qtrainers? I just have the free qtrainers. Just wondering. Thanks! :)
I honestly don't know the difference between the two. The only difference I can think of is that the qbank allows you to do 50 max questions per test, you can choose the topics you want to get tested on or you can just all, you can select if you want to use questions that are unused or used or a mixture of both, and you can use time mode or tutor mode where they don't time you. Qtrainers are timed exams and the amount of questions per test keeps going up as you progress to qtrainer 7. Personally, when I do the qtrainers, I always feel like i'm bombing it, but surprisingly my scores aren't as bad as I'd thought. They're essentially the same types of questions, but I think the qbank may be slightly easier (in my opinion).
Hi Sabs,
How did you feel about kaplan questions in relation to the NCLEX? Did they both cover the same topics (with the exception of the difficult questions they throw at you in the nclex like unknown drugs/diseases)? I just keep reading that it's the same types of questions, but I wanna know if it's the same topics generally? Or is it the answers that throws you off because they all sound good? Thanks!
