Kaplan Scores to pass the NCLEX?

Published

I'm taking the NCLEX in about a week and I've been preparing with Kaplan but my scores (Q bank and question trainers) range from 50%-61% and I can't seem to get any higher. I'm doing content review as well and I still have a week, but I'm just wondering if I have a chance of passing with scores that are so low?

My overall percentage for kaplan was 57% and I passed the first time with the minimum questions

Those scores sound good to me. I can only get in low 50's i did get a 63 on diagnostic test though. Im waiting for my ATT number to test, im also worried about my scores. QT1 49 2-51 3-46 4-53 5-52

I think your odds are still pretty good, it just may take longer to get that consistent pattern that NCLEX is looking for. So you might not pass immediately at 75 or maybe you will. Either way don't sweat it. I take nclex in 4 days so I feel your pain.

I started preparing for nclex seriously about 2 weeks (technically 3 weeks but the 1st week was me being lazy). When I first started i was getting 49-53% now I'm consistently 60%+ wrapping up this 2nd serious week. The only thing I've done differently was write out the rationale for EVERY QUESTION that either I got wrong or got right and wasn't sure of. Well also the ones I saw frequently just for repetition. Also I checked my patterns to see where i was getting a lot wrong and inserted a mini break. So I do the first 30-(bathroom/water break)-next 20-(1 minute break)-next 15-last 10. I'm fairly confident but I don't think the nerves will go away until I sit down on test day.

And know your psych meds by class and endings! I'm not as scared of pharm anymore after that.
