Nursing Students NCLEX

I took the Kaplan pretest and tested in the non-passing area. I am very discouraged. I have not even to begun to study yet but I just feel so bad.
Anyone else have this experience?

Hi, the testing does not mean a thing-all the practice pre-tests I took I failed and I was discouraged and very worried. When I took the boards I aced it in less than 45 mins. The tests are not a reliable source of whether one will pass or fail. Good luck and don't worry!

Hi trgrahek! What did you do to prepare yourself and overcome being discouraged and worried? What study and preparation techniques did you employ?
Hi Decartes-I did take the all day NCLEX review and used the CDs that came with it. That was it. As for the boards I envisioned myself sitting at the at the dining room table pretending it was only a "homework" assignment.

I too have been studying Kaplan and am taking a review course through NCSBN. I have heard though that the review course is not very helpful... so far I have not tested well with it and that worries me. Anyone else having the same experience?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your results of the NCLEX test? And how do you get them?
If you go to www.pearsonvue.com . you should sign in. if your not registered with them then do it. it is easy. after you register, then sign in a screen will pop up and lead you right where you want to go. there is a fee of 7$ and some change but you dont have to keep paying the fee. you just pay it once and your results should be ready withing two business days.
