kaplan qbank %

Published

Hey all

just wondering for those of you who passed nclex already and took kaplan...

what were you scoring on qbank and question trainers before the test?

want to see if I am up to par-NCLEX is only a week away!!!

I haven't taken Boards as of yet, but my % on Kaplans is 57%. I just can't lick the tests. I feel confident until the score comes up :uhoh3:. Hope this doesn't mean I shouldn't take the exam. Well I wish you many blessings on your exam and I'm praying we both do well.

Hi,

Can someone tell me what the kaplan Qbank is?

thanks.

Bridget

I started out scoring in the upper 50's, but as I answered more questions and used the Kaplan book to review areas that I was weak in, my score went up. My overall score was 65%, and I passed the nclex on my first try! Good luck to you!

thanks for your posts!

I'll pray for you to pass too!

As for what is qbank, it is an online question bank developed by Kaplan that you have access to by taking their NCLEX review course and paying a fee.

Our school required that we take it so I utilized the question bank.

I have heard that these questions are most similar to NCLEX questions. ???

Guess I'll find out!

Question trainers:

5: 62%

6: 71%

7: 62%

passed first time 75 questions.

I also read all the rationales for those I missed.

Good luck!

I had a 59% on Q6 and 55% on Q7 and did not pass. However, I thought the question were very similar.

Hey guys

i take "the test" exactly 2 weeks from today. ive been doing the qtrainer and been scoring consistently in the 50s...even when i think i did fairly well the end result is always 50-something...

ive talked to other nurses and friends who have taken the nclex and tehyve said the same...that they did pretty bad on the prac. tests however ended up passing the nclex...

i dont want to think that way and just assume taht ill pass..cuz honestly im pretty sure that ill fail the 1st time

i wasnt the smartest in my class and still sometimes wonder how int he world i got into and through nursing school

ive been watching the content videos on the kaplan site and am almost done wit it. hopefully ill finish it tonite and then from here on out till aug 7 i will just be doing questions...

ive been reading other "nclex posts" and i feel like im not studying as hard as some of these other ppl...i really cant seem to get myself to focus on the material for more than 30min at a time. in a way i just wanna take it and get it over with yet im sooooo scared and nervous...reading these other posts about ppl passing and failing and feeling nervous started making my heart pound..like no joke!

any new advice?? besides all the great advice thats out there already?!?!

I test on Thursday and have half of Q7 to go-I suspended it, I admit it. On 5 I got 72%, 68% on Q6. My advice to you is that 2 weeks is actually a long time. You have the basic nursing knowledge probably, you just need to get serious about your last minute cramming now.

Why not stop the Qtrainers, cause those are really for the days right up to the exam. Start really studying that annoying Kaplan book (yuck!), make flash cards of lab values, reread a textbook chapter even (I had to reread endocrine), and start reviewing drugs. Do at least 100 QBank questions a day. Then, return to the Qtrainers. You want to be getting >65% on each Qtrainer test. If you drop below you need to stop and study more.

Good luck. I hope in 2 weeks we'll both be RNs.
