I notice that the Kaplan Qbank answered questions are automatically stored in the user account and can be reviewed anytime. However, i notice that the Qbank Alternate format answered questions can be reviewed (after answering all questions) but it is not saved in the user tests' history record.
Has anyone experience this or is just me?
Also I notice that Qbank Alternate format answered questions is not included in evaluating my scored performance percentage.
I wonder why Kaplan does not include the alternate format questions in the Performance Evaluation because a nclex test taker might get a false assurance if he has high percentage in Qbank Questions but poor in SATA (because it was not included in Kaplan Performance evaluation)
For example, I got a 75 % in performance but since alternate format questions was not included in that evaluation percentage. i might get cocky during the test and fail in actual nclex exam because i fail to address my weakness in SATA questions. To think that SATA is more common in actual nclex exam.

Hi,
I was freaked out about SATA on nclex too! Kaplan SATA are harder than the SATA on the real NCLEX RN. If you want tons of practice with them, I would use the Saunders 5th edition. It come with 199 SATA. I passed Nclex RN in 140 questions with about 30 SATA. They were simple though, so don't freak out to much. For example a question would ask something like this:
What are some repoartble signs and symptoms of elderly abuse
1). The patient has unexplained bruises on her body
2). The patient states that her daughter handles all of finances
3). The patient says she is always tired
4). The patient has a history of smoking
5). The patient has not been able to fill her medication because her daughter feels it is a waste of money.
Not too bad at all. I practiced at least 25 per day using Saunders and I think it helped me a lot!
Best of luck to you!

I used Saunders 5th edition to study for SATA; and used all that was available. I was never able to find alternative question formats in Kaplan, unless they were randomly chosen by Kaplan Qbank. I passed NCLEX in 75 questions and starting from the 2nd question all the way to the 24th question were SATA and then about every other one to every other two questions were SATA until I reached 75.
If you're doing good on Kaplan, you will most likely be fine. But definitely find a way to practice SATA questions--a lot!
thanks guys that makes me calm. I was freaking out lol.
so i will focus on the Saunders SATA instead of the Kaplan SATA.

I just did the Review Test from Nclex 4000 and I scored 71%. Is that good or bad?
