No Most of us failed the first one and we only have one more chance to pass the exit exam before we graduate. It's the worst stress :/

Having done the Kaplan test prep and predictor tests myself, I can tell you that you want to stick with as many Kaplan resources as possible. I hate to say it, but content and what is more emphasized can change from vendor to vendor. Let me be clear that I don't work for Kaplan, nor do I hold them in any kind of high esteem.

If you have to pay for the extra stuff online, it's worth it. You'll probably want to do that anyways before you take the NCLEX, so it might be best to go ahead and purchase the access (you'll likely get a 3-month subscription, so it'll last).

Here's something you may not know: you can actually pass (and do quite well in some cases) if you do enough questions. Many of these companies are now stingy with what sample questions they give because of the rigid constraints imposed by many state boards.

If you have ATI, I'd do those questions until I was blue in the face. Hurst UWorld is what enabled me to pass my NCLEX with some ease. They give you around 1,200 questions. I realize I'm kind of contradicting myself, as I said to stick with Kaplan earlier, but that amount of questioning is enough to (theoretically) cover the margin of error.

The problems with the comp predictor tests is that they vary considerably from test to test, which is why you want to answer as many questions as possible in as many different modules as possible.

One thing I would not do is spend too much time with content. You spent the majority of nursing school doing that. At this juncture it's all about being able to find the best answer in 4 or 5 options.

There are videos on YouTube that discuss the Kaplan method for eliminating possible answers to up your odds of selecting the most correct answer. Content will not help you now. Learning to take these NCLEX style tests will.

What have you done so far within the Kaplan system to prepare? Do their Q-bank and question trainers and be sure to remediate on every question. And watch the video resource for the Kaplan Decision Tree.

Do you feel that you're struggling with content recollection or simply the style of the question? If you're struggling with content, then download the Kaplan E-book for NCLEX and look up each topic you get wrong. If you're struggling with the style of the questions, then the decision tree and simply doing hundreds of questions a day should help you get the hang of that.

I have heard that OB is covered more on the B test and was wondering if that's in fact true. I am doing all the Kaplan QBank questions that I can and also took the Hurst review.

Hey Kdunn,

we now know HOW they passed. questions and answers from Kaplan circulated the class. Tell me, how can a person read 150 questions with a min of 4 answers each and complete it in less than 50 minutes? Not only did I learn a great deal from school but also about human behavior. It makes me rethink WHO I want caring for me or my family. Sad!!
