Kaplan practice exams

Published

Hi guys does anyone know if the 4 nursing practice exams ( NOT the qtrainers or q bank ) if they are separate questions or are they questions used from the qbank? Thanks ;)

I took Sample Test #1 on 6/22 and it's listed under Test Analysis: Sample Tests and all of my Qbank scores are listed under Test Analysis: History. So, I don't think that they come from the Qbank.

This is what is says on the Sample Test page:

Sample Tests One and Two are designed to provide an abbreviated simulation of a full-length NCLEX Exam. Sample Test Three gives you extra practice on priority questions.

They are all new questions, not part of the Qbank. I did the first, but didn't do the rest. From what I hear the last one (4th) is all alternate questions and a real pain in the rear end.

When do you take the NCLEX? Good luck...

Thanks rob4546!! I didn't know that either!!

I do have a couple suggestions.

First, for every question you get wrong and the few you used critical thinking to answer and got correct, read over the rationale and understand why the answer is the correct one. Be realistic with yourself and know the differences between the correct answers and the incorrect ones. Then make a change in the way you either see the question or think about the question.

And finally use as much of the Kaplan as you can. They have a lot of resources and I suggest using them all. Some people can't do the decision tree, I am one of them. It always seemed too cumbersome for me to use, but I did use some of the concepts though.

Figure out a way not to be nervous. This is major in my opinion. Good luck and work at it. It can be done.
