Kaplan or Hurst Review?

Published

hello! i graduated 4 years ago.. last time i took the NCLEX-RN exam was march 09 and that was my 2nd try. Now i'm deciding on whether to get KAPLAN or HURST for my review. any thoughts, advice, or suggestion that will help me decide on what to get before i take my exam. thank you!

Either are good, particularly if you do your part. Good luck.

I did both and found them both helpful in their own way.

HURST: Easy to understand concepts but not big on content. I did not use the HURST review questions. Yet, I passed the NCLEX-RN without them.

KAPLAN: Great for review questions (Qbank)

If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with KAPLAN.

Good Luck!

I have taken Kaplan and doing Hurst now.

Kaplan i think is good just for the questions but I like Hurst better because you get the material down good.

The way I see it, whats the point in doing questions and using the decision tree that Kaplan offers if you dont know all the material well.

This is just my opinion.

I did Kaplan. Not the five day course, but the online program, and it's wonderful. My school provided it for us so I don't know how much it costs, but it's great. Lots of questions, tests, and review videos/lectures that are wonderful especially if you've been out of school for a while and what to refresh on topics without spending hours reading about them.
