Hi to all! I have roughly 2 mos to study for my upcoming nclex exam on march. i'll be starting to study now and i have two books with me right now, the Kaplan Course Book and The Saunders Comprehensive Reivew. To all those who took the CA NCLEX, please help me decide what to read. i have only time for one book so if anybody can give some inputs, thank you thank you.

First, it is not a specific exam for CA, it is a national exam.
If you ready my posts here, and there are quite a few, I only suggest the Saunder's book, you need to do 100 questions per day, and no more. Pay very close attention to the rationales given with each answer, even for the answers that you got right. If you do the 100 per day, you will have over 4500 done. If you try to do more, you will not retain the infromation.
You didn't say when you graduated from school, if it wasn't recently, then pleaase the sticky at the top of the NCLEX forum and follow that tip.
Good luck with your exam.
Just saw your profile, and definitely follow the study tip with the review of the book first, since you graduated overseas. That is what it was designed for.
thanks very much suzanne4, you're really a great help! :)

I agree with Suzanne. I used Saunders Comprehensive Review and reviewed as many questions as I could. I didn't find Kaplan as useful for me.

I most certainly recommend the Saunder's book. I did Kaplan too, but I did my primary questions from Saunders and then read up on the rationales on all of the questions I got wrong or right so that I could understand WHY they were wrong or right. I studied extra hard on my weak points (endocrine, lab values, renal) and just highlighed my strong points (cardiac, maternity, neuro). Just keep doing questions, but don't overload yourself. Pace yourself. Good luck!
