Kaplan College's LVN HESI exam

I am looking to start Kaplans LVN program this winter, and need to go in to take the extrance exam. Has anyone here taken their HESI exam yet? Are the questions on the exam similar to the practice test in the book? Are you allowed to use a calculator for the math section? The exam only covers the math, reading & grammer correct??

Know your military time, basic ap like distal and anterior vs posteriorer and basic math. You will do fine!! english is like passages and the like!! I am starting Oct 4, Very excited!!!

AP? really? the lady there told me there would be nothing on AP, thanks for the heads up!! I was planning on starting in Oct but it just didnt work out, ill *hopefully* be starting in their Feb program!!

It's probably after the fact for you, but I took my HESI today without studying and scored and 88%. I only had one AP question, thankfully. I'm TERRIBLE at math and scored a 78% on that portion.

Please help me.! My name is Joseph Tran. I am going to take Hesi exam for the LVN program at Kaplans. Has anyone here (sacramento) taken HESI exam yet ? I just wanted to know. Are the questions on the exam similar to the practice test in the book (HESI 2nd Edition) ? are there are any website that I can practice more for this exam.

you can go to evolve.elsevier.com this is the website is HESI where its given. You can pay to take practice tests there are only 3 hesi's the 4th is a repeat of all 3 but mostly HESI #1. You can email me for more info i failed all 3 but passed the 4th you need a 850 to pass i got a 1031 on my final.Off to state boards

hi there pneumann! i called evolve support regarding pn case studies with practice test, I was told to call my instructor so they can provide me a course ID. The problem is i dont know how to reach them. Is there any way you can help with this thing! i'm taking my hesi pn soon. I would really appreciate it! thanks

I took the HESI in LPN school. It was part of our schooling. From what I remember it was all Patient care questions. The questions were nursing questions, scenerio questions, not just the random english, math, etc. All the math was medication related. It was like the NCLEX-PN, in fact whatever score you recieved on the HESI was the probablity you'd pass the NCLEX-PN. Is there an entrance HESI?? I also had to take it when I graduated. I don't know any other HESI, so I may be out of the loop. lol

Can we use calculators for the hesi test?

How much physics & science is there

on the test, a little, a lot?

So, many people say it's easy lol..hmm

I must be very out of the loop because

I bought the hesi book and find some

parts hard...=/

How long do they give you to do the

hesi test? I heard 5 hours?

Is there a LOT of math...arrrrr, what

kind MOSTLY?

I heard the Anatomy & Physiology are

the most difficult, how so? Hints?

Thank you SO MUCH for this information. I have been studying the entrance exam study guide by Hesi, and have been freaking out!! There is so much biology (chemistry, physics, etc...) stuff that I do NOT know or comprehend, and I've been so scared. I've been out of school for over 13 years.... Your post made me feel so much better. You are awesome.

I also appreciate that you offered to be willing to be emailed, to answer more questions. I am a new user, and wish I could email you....

If anyone else has taken the entrance exam at Kaplan for LVN, and knows anything else that would help me, it would be much appreciated...SO nervous!!!
