Hi everyone. Iam looking into the kaplan college in sacramento lvn program that starts in october. I went for the tour already and passed the first test. What i was wondering was does anyone have any thoughts on this school? are you currently attending this class? how are the teachers what type of finacial aid do they have? any info would be greatly appreciated. also i was looking at csi college in vacaville anything on that school would be helpful too.
kaplan sacto students - you start on monday, right? can you check on something, please?
one thing I have not heard discussed by kaplan or by anyone in this thread, and I wasn't savvy enough to ask at my interview, was whether or not kaplan gives an exit exam, i.e., the HESI or ATI (maybe others?).
there are a couple of threads that I've come across in the past few days that mention the inability of the student to get on with taking the nclex-pn because they weren't able to pass the exit exam administered by the school - and after three strikes, they're out!
student has to repeat the course, take a refresher, etc., all at added expense.
any of you know anything 'bout this? :flamesonb
so what has happened to the sacramento folks?
have they entered the deep, dark kaplan black hole, never to be seen or heard from again?
or perhaps they've been brainwashed and sworn to secrecy?
or maybe they're inundated with school and homework and aren't able to spare even a single second to share their first days of school?

LOL...that is great! I'm sure they are very overwhelmed. Hope you guys are doing great...send us a sign!!
stockton starts this coming monday but I will not be joining them. I was accepted but they only notified me the week before TG. after repeated calls, the timing, and general frustration with dealing with kaplan, I declined.
DH also thought they were unorganized. timing is better for a start after the first of the year. I have been accepted at another nursing school in stockton and start on jan 4th.
besides, the color of kaplan's uniforms are royal blue - definetly not my color. the other school's are forest green. much better! :loveya:
in all seriousness, the sac folks haven't added much to this thread. what are you working on? must be mega-busy! how much time do you spend studying each day?
