Hi All,
I am curious as to what a competitive applicant has for an ATI TEAS score, GPA, prereqs. I understand the minimum TEAS was 78, but it has been temporarily lowered to 65.
Obviously, the higher the scores the better, but what does an average accepted applicant's scores look like?
What is a solid TEAS score for acceptance, do I have to score in the 90s or are scores in 70s adequate?
Do most selectees earn A's on their Zoology and MICR, or are B's competitive? Essentially, I am wondering if I should fork out additional money to retake the zoology classes to raise the B's to A's or is that an unwise use of tight funds?
Any guidance is appreciated.
I was taking a Math class through HPU awhile back and I bought the $130 textbook new through the school. My daughter was taking out the trash and somehow the textbook fell off my desk into the trashcan and I had to buy another one real quick, so I bought used through Amazon. I got the exact same book for $12 and it had an unused code in the front of the book, which I could have sold for $20 or so. Sometimes the used books are better than the new ones.
I just received 3 used books from amazon and they're in pretty good condition. Saved so much more money than buying from the bookstore.
Did you notice that Pathophysiology textbook and study guide was not listed on the excel spreadsheet sent out via email? It is on the list when you go through the bookstore. I ordered most of the books through Amazon today, but will wait for the final list and purchase the leftovers at the school.
K9005, I am reading medical paperbacks right now, from the perspective of a nurse. When I study I try to focus on what is important to the instructor, so no I am not pre-studying; I will get enough of that in 3 weeks:yes:.

I ordered everything except the bundle so far. I might get that stuff through the bookstore :/
And I'm so glad! I just didn't want to be slacking, but I have been trying to enjoy free time before school starts
Did you guys buy the bundle yet? I was gonna do it but this message popped up "The cart total is calculated at the highest current price for titles. Used prices will be applied if selected and available when your order is filled." It indicated $306 used but then in the cart it came up to $403.10 new. I specified used preferred but it still came out to $403.10 new.
They know you need the books regardless, but they are not sure if the "used books" will be in stock when they fill your order, so if you selected used books they will try to issue used books at the used price and they won't charge you the $403.10, but something less based on how many used books they were able to issue you. If there are no used books, you get new books and the full charge.
