Kaiser Southern California Inexperienced New Grad Program October 2021

Published

Hi All!

Just wanted to start a thread for those of us that applied to Kaiser's New Grad Program in Southern California for the October 2021 cohort.

I'm sure we'll all be impatiently waiting to hear back!

For reference, I applied to Downey, Irvine, and South Bay as an internal candidate.

Specializes in new grad nurse.

Internal candidate here. I received a "no longer in consideration" email from Irvine, South Bay, and Downey. This leads me to believe other internal candidates have been selected to interview.

Speaking of interviews, has anybody been contacted to interview with KP San Diego Medical Center yet. It has been over a month since the app has been posted surely somebody must have looked through them by now.

What resume website if you don't mind me asking? I've changed my resume so many times at this point because I have yet to land a single interview ?

Hi, I used myperfectresume.com for my resume and cover letter template.

Best of luck to you!

Hi All, just updating that I now received rejection letters from all 3 locations I applied to which were Irvine, Downey, and South Bay. I'm guessing other more senior internal candidates were picked. good luck to everyone!

Sorry to hear. The recruiter I spoke with said there were only about 1 or 2 spots open per hospital, so it was extremely competitive.

Did you see that Moreno Valley posted their new grad?

Received rejection email. Good luck ALL ?

Did anyone get an offer for San Diego Medical Center?

Hi all, it’s been a while since this thread was active.

For those who are/was in this program, can you share your insights on how this program was? Is it true that getting accepted into the residency program doesn’t guarantee a job on the unit or even in the hospital? Thanks in advance!

Hi. All of the people that were chosen for the program where hired in to a position. All of us were kaiser employees working as LVNs and ER techs. Due to covid our classes were virtual and we did orientation on the floor with preceptor. ?
