Kaiser Permanente SoCal July cohort

Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.

The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am. 
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃

On Handshake. I'll paste the link below. I originally found it on the nursing kp site but I can't find it when I'm not at work for some reason. I think you can use it to register yourself for the event. https://app.joinhandshake.com/events/1609356

On the kp careers site. But the application won't open until sometime next month. It opens for kp employees first and then external applicants. I'll try to keep people updated as it gets closer.

Hi! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼 when I click on the link it says I'm not eligible to join, is this link only for internal candidates?

I'm not internal and I was able to apply. I had to use my school email though, my personal one didn't work.

So I attended the first info session on March 18 thinking they would discuss details for the August 2025 cohort, but they only talked about a July cohort. I emailed the main speaker, Brandy Delatorre, and she said that the info sessions for the Fall cohort will most likely be around August. I know she mentioned that the Kaiser website hasn't been updated but I'm assuming that there is a different start date now for the fall. Does anyone know about this? I really wanted to get into the August cohort 😕

There will be another session for the August cohort on April 16. These sessions (including the one last week) are all for the cohort that will start August. Here are the takeaways I got:

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.

Clinical hours requirement:

Minimum of 768 hours for all UNAC locations

Minimum of 968 hours for Los Angeles Medical Center

An active California RN license (interim permits cannot be accepted).

A current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Less than 6 months paid Inpatient/Acute care RN experience.

Preferred but not required to apply:

Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Nursing degree earned within the 12 months prior to the start date.

Kaiser Permanente internship/externship/clinical rotation experience.

 

The application window will open May 12th for those who are internal candidates. I believe external is a few days or maybe a week later.
