Kaiser Los Angeles New Grad Training Telemetry

U.S.A. California

Is anyone attending the group interview on July 3 at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center? The interview is for the Telemetry unit, and I was invited yesterday. The recruiter told me it will be a group interview, and if selected, followed by a one-on-one interview. They are picking 20 new grad RN candidates for the position. The invite says the interview is 5 HOURS long! how is this possible? In past year's threads Kaiser did a group interview and one-on-one back to back on the same day and if your name wasn't selected to go on after the group, you were asked to leave. Does anyone else know about how the process works? I hope it is not as brutal as it sounds...

At least we will know by Monday. If anyone hears anything before then please let us know. Best of luck everyone!

anyone heard anything yet?

Nothing...nada.....

Got a rejection letter this afternoon, guess it's over.

I was wondering how did you guys apply for the new grad program at kaiser? Was it offer to you? Did they put up a posting?

I signed up for job alerts through the Kaiser jobs page and applied as soon as it was posted. The job was up for less than an hour but I was not a current employee, they may get longer i'm not sure.

Any previous RNs here have experience with this panel interview before it happens tomorrow? Any information would be great. Thanks.

Hey guys, I know this thread is old, but I got invited for a group interview that's all day at kaiser next week. Could someone tell me their experience with this? I am super nervous and don't know what to expect!! TIA.

Hey Kieran is your interview in Santa Rosa? If so, I'll see you there! I've been reading up on threads here to get some info on the interview style of Kaiser. Super nervous!!

Yes it is! Have you gotten the info email about it yet? They called Saturday to invite me to interview and said they'd send an email, but I haven't gotten one yet.... So so nervous!

The HR lady I spoke to said she'd send the email Monday because they didn't have all the details sorted out. I am dying to know more! All she said was it would be an "all-day event" from 830-5 I think. I hope that doesn't mean we're expected to be there all day but I have read some crazy stuff on here about how Kaiser interviews and it seems nothing is out of the question lol This is my first hospital interview I've gotten out of 70 applications I've sent! I don't want to blow it.

Someone who interviewed for a NG position at another Kaiser said it was a group interview and you had to interview the person next to you, introduce them and then draw interview questions out of a basket including behavioral and clinical questions... Nerve-wracking!

Are you from the area or have you done any clinicals at Kaiser Santa Rosa? I would have to move from the South Bay if I got the job but it's on call and I don't even know if it's a good hospital or not. I guess I will cross that bridge if I come to it lol
