Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers. I really needed them last night when I posted the message. Some times are easier than others and last night was a tough one. You never think you will be picking out clothes for you big sister to be buried in. There are many Angels out there and they are you people out there who say these kind words to make me feel a little better. Thank you so much.
Love,
Jeannette

I just want to say thank you to any nurses out there that might happen to work in ICU, or CSRU at Beth Isreal Deaconess in Boston. My 41 y/o sister passed away on Wednesday, August 21. She went into a hospital in Rhode Island with chest pains 3 weeks ago and from there things just went down hill, before I knew it, her heart was giving out and she had to be intubated. hey just a few times to wean her off the vent, but were unsuccessfull. She ended up being flown to Boston two weeks after being admitted to the hospital in Rhode Island. I never got to talk to her up unitil last Saturday because she had to be kept sedated. On Saturday at least she opened her eyes when I spoke to her.. and she started crying when she saw me. It was the worst feeling I have ever had in my life and I am crying now... because I still can't believe this happened. Well, anyway.. Monday she was schedualed for cardiac cath.. she went into cardiac arrest, they revived her and told us to get there because prognosis was very poor. It is an hour and a half drive and we only got to see her for a couple of minutes. I wish I never went into that room. She was a mess. Not my big sister. We stayed until 1:30 in the morning. She died at 4am. We still do not know exactly why she went into heart failure in the first place. It has just been heart breaking. I just wanted to say thank you to Beth Isreal Nurses and all other critical care nurses, because I could never do what you do. The way you have to deal with families. It must be very hard on you. I jst want you to know you are very aprreciated.
