Hi guys finally i was able to take the much dreaded nclex-rn earlier today at 8am. My test stopped at 75 thanked god coz i didnt want to endure more questions my mind might get too tired coz i barely slept last night because of excitement and anxiety. Anyway i had a lot of priority questions, meds, a little psyche, infection control and 1 select all that apply. I got hard questions often, but mixed with some easy ones, i dont know, hope i pass. But pass or not i would say the exam is very doable as long as you had a good review and suzanne was right you just need one book and that's the the saunders comprehensive review for the nclex-rn, you dont need those expensive online courses, everything is in saunders you just have to know the strategy on how to answer tough questions coz you can easily fall for those distracters if you dont read and understand each and every question. The waiting part sucks, anxiety is building up again, hope i make it, but if not then i just have to accept it and try again, never loose hope.
anyway, i am new here and where could i find suzzane's method or site, am also interested to learn from her.tnx again. Godbless and Merry xmas po
Thanks, actually the odds are in your favor coz you are a fresh graduate, to tell you honestly I finished nursing school in 1990 and never practiced nursing up until last year where i took a refresher course at the philippine general hospital for 5mos before i left for the US, I arrived early this year thru fiance visa, and that's my only nursing working experience that's why i think no one will hire me for employment unless i take a US refresher course and that's my big problem right now. My experience during the test was that it started easy then it got harder but the hard questions doesnt come right every after question, maybe say after 4 questions, the hard question will come again, but of course this is based from my own experience, its relative like a question maybe easy for me but hard for another or the other way around, but what i can say though for sure is if you've studied well and came to the exam site well prepared most of the questions will come easy for you and though the hard ones will take you awhile to answer, still its doable. You can pm suzanne for the study guide. Good luck to your exam, you'll make it , just study hard, happy holidays!!!
Thanks!Huraaaaaaa! Congratulations, Nindot! :balloons:Now you have the best gift for Christmas. Enjoy it!
Honestly, I feel the same way as you, coz I studied very much and I am not that stressed. I felt worse when I went for IELTS. And I am afraid to say it. Imagine the embarassment if I fail

But I have 2 more days, hope I dont get worried just before the exam.
And using Suzanne's method helped me feel this way. I agree with you!
Its good that you're not that stressed and you are well prepared for the exam, believe me because of this you'll find most of the questions easy and even the hard ones doable. Just keep that anxiety level low, and anyway once you see that you feel you're answering the questions right as they come the anxiety will start to go down, goodluck, i know you'll make it, happy holidays!!!
