Hello.
I took the NCLEX yesterday (12/31) and now the anxiety and waiting are killing me.
I felt like I was not doing well, because it was "NOTHING" like what I expected. All I could think of was, "please don't shut off at 75". Well, on the 75th question, when I clicked "next", it shut off. My heart stopped for split second.
I either did much better than I think I did, or I did so bad that I failed it in 75 questions.....
What do ya'll think, if it stopped at 75, are chances I passed or failed more possible? I was a great student, graduated with the highest GPA in our 4 year program, but I felt like I had never even been to nursing school when that test started.
Results should be online tommorrow or Monday.
Thanks for listening. Say a prayer for me.

Hey mitek!! I am in your shoes today!! I took my NCLEX yesterday and it clicked off on me after 75 questions. I am scared out of my pants. I had four other classmates to take the exam today and two of the four had 265 questions. I'm glad you did well on your exam. I sure am praying that I did too!! Good luck in your new career. Where are you going to be working?
Wished I could give you some encouraging words to ease your aticipation. The waiting is the hardest part. I too had the computer shut off at 75. I treaded water the whole 4 years in school, while my friend beside me who aced every class with an A or B had the maximum questions. I passed however. And you will too. You just did the hardest part. I was able to call our state board 800 line. I typed in my ssn and when the voice said my nursing license number I just felt like a big mountain had been taken off my shoulder. You will be fine. Keep us posted!!
Congrats on your major accomplishment!!!
Hey CDA, a fellow Georgian!
Yea, that was the longest two days of my life. But now, waiting for my license to post is becoming the longest time in my life.
The Board of Nursing website says "7-10 business days", so I'm hoping any day now it'll post.
Congrats to all you who passed it, and if you're waitin' for your results, I'll say a prayer for you tonight, but I'm sure you did great.
Statistically, about 85% percent of first time takers pass NCLEX on their first try. So, the odds are in our favor!!
My friend and I both passed. We got our "unofficial results" today online and now we too are waiting for the license to post online. We start orientation and will have to start with a pay cut if they won't accept our unofficial results for orientation. Are you going to be working in Atlanta? If so, where?:roll

I'll be working at St Joseph's Hospital, which in my opinion is the BEST hospital in Atlanta!
Seriously, it's a great place to work. I've worked there as a tech for 5 years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
As far as my license posting, I guess 7-10 "business days" would technically be next Monday through Wednesday.
So, let's hope they come soon!!
i failed the first time with 88 questions and found out in fourteen days, others who graduated with me and passed found out in 3 to 7 days. i feel your anxious i was just there a two months ago, it's the worst feeling ever. waiting.................
good luck and i sure hope that you passed and keep us informed so your status.
