Just took CRNA boards - help

Published

I just came home from taking boards and feel sick. Most people who pass only go to 100. I went to 170 questions. Has anyone else who passed went to 170 and vice versa. Please reply because I am not feeling very well right now.

I studied Valley, and used Morgan and Mikail for further clarification. I've heard c/o that Valley did not prep as well as we were told it would, but I don't know how else all the material would be in one place. I thought it helped. I am not familiar w/Prodigy software. Good luck

I studied Valley, using Morgan and Mikail as reference as needed. I spent about 6 weeks straight, 3x Sweatbook, 3x memory master. I am not familiar w/prodigy software. I've heard some c/o Valley, but I don't know how else you would cover everything, have it in one place. For me, it worked. But I did reference other books as needed.

If you look at the stats put out by the Cert Council, about 95% who take 100 questions pass, and 5% fail (1543 passed and 77 failed). Of those who took 170 questions, 57% passed (89 passed and 68 failed) and those between 100 and 170, 67% passed (115 passed and 57 failed).

Hi. I just took boards yesterday and it turned off at 100 questions. Despite these statistics I am sort of freaking out. Where are these statistics from? Is there a link where I can see the source. Thanks for your help. Happy holidays!

Everyone I know that had the test turn off at 100, passed. However, I heard of 1 w/115 questions that failed. I think it is inherent in the test that we all feel terrible, prepared for the worst. Good luck, no matter what I or anyone else says to you, until you get that envelope, you will be convinced of failing. However, be prepared to wait longer than some for results, you have all the holidays to conted with. My friend took it right before thanksgiving, and waited over a week.

I actually have a friend who a few years ago got a 449 and it turned off at 100 questions. Can you believe that? It seems that you recently graduated and had a lot of classmates take the boards. How did they do? Did most of your classmates pass? and of the ones that didn't, did they all have over 100 questions? rumor is that more people are failing these days. i'm still intersted where the statistics came from that were on the earlier post and what year they are from. thanks for the heads up regarding arrival of scores.

I think most of my class took boards, except for 1 or 2, and only 1 that I know of passed. A couple had 170 (they passed), most had 100 (they passed). a couple are scattered at 130, 158, 168, (passed). 115 was the one I heard didn't. Don't know where the stats for the test are located, but understand completely your feelings. Good luck.

Specializes in CRNA.

They were put out early 2008, and refer to 2007 test takers. A copy of all the test stats is sent to programs, but I don't think it's available otherwise. It would be nice to put on the web, it's not top secret info or anything.

I just got my results back today (New Years Eve of all days!) and I passed!!!! :smiley_aa I stopped at 100.

So, I had heard they took off for two weeks during the holidays so I wasn't expecting to hear anything until next week, so maybe they aren't doing that anymore.............

What a way to celebrate the new year. Congratulations. Now Party

I haven't posted since I started didactic, about 2 years ago. I just took boards, went to 170 questions and found out that I PASSED yesterday! Happy New Year to all the new CRNA's! Hang in there to all of you who are still waiting to hear. It's the best feeling!

Thanks to everyone here who helped me get through the last two and a half years. You guys didn't know it, but I always turned to this site for encouragement, advice, etc. THANKS!
