Just took CA-NCLEX today 265?'s

Published

I just took the the NCLEX-RN today and I had all 265 questions. I can honestly say that there is no way that I passed. I went in there confident but a little nervous still and it was one of the scariest things that I have ever had to face. I had about 15 or so SATA questions and about 5 or 6 math questions. The rest were priority, management, infection control (basically everything the brochure said it would be) I just felt like it was so hard and although there were some that I knew right off the bat I just don't think it was enough. :scrying: I just feel like I got broken up with by NCLEX. After 150 questions I just lost focused and was trying my best to read the questions and see what they wanted. I'm getting mixed messages from my friends. Some are saying that sometimes people get 265 by default, others are saying no it's because I was doing borderline performance or that it depends on how I did on my last questions, etc. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to not see my name posted in 3 days. I'm so sad right now, I left that place feeling like 4 years of nursing school taught me absolutely nothing. All I can do is pray and hope for the best.

You poor thing. I hope when I test I don't get that many ?'s b/c I have the attention span of a nat:0) I would fail from just having to sit there that lonh lol. . . Good lick to you!!!!

Do not even attempt to figure out if you passed or did not pass, the number of questions has no bearing on your results. Also, everyone gets 50% correct and 50% incorrect, it is the level that you are getting the majority of the correct ones at that determines if you passed or did not pass.

Average wait time in CA is actually ten days and not three days; and can take up to a month as they need to have a completed file on your before they can even release anything and many times the schools take longer to get the transcripts to them. CA BRN is one of a few that will permit a CA grad to sit for the exam as long as their name is on the roster submitted by the school.

SATA questiiona are only a format style, they do not determine if the question was at a higher level or not.

Best of luck to you, but please do not drive yourself crazy if your name is not up there in two to three days; many are not.

I passed the NCLEX 1st time taking it and I got all 265 questions...I was a little worried when the computer kept going and going and I walked out unsure, but I knew that I studied and prepared myself as best I could and I tried not to worry...so don't kill yourself over it...Its done...try to relax and do some things you enjoy doing while waiting...don't stress the hard part is over :)

Many people on here talk about receiving results in 10 days....7 days...are you including weekends?? Do you mean results in the mail, or see your name on the BRN perm. lic. verification page?? I am loosing it....waiting...and waiting..and waiting....the job I worked sooooo hard to get, and have been dreaming of for 5 years, said I will have to resign if I fail. This is aweful.

I know how you feel. I'm on the same boat as you. I need to pass this test in order to keep my position, if not then I have to also resign. It is heart breaking and I'm trying to keep positive, but it's just so hard. Each time I check the BRN website and don't see my name I feel the tears burning in my eyes. I've waited a week and a half now and still no word from boards, snail mail or internet. It's just fustrating that one of my class mates took the test after me and received her results before me. And so I can't help but think I failed, but it's not over until the fat lady sings and until I get my failure notice then I'm just going to keep in mind that there is always a 50/50 chance. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has to much to lose if the results go sour, but it is reassuring and I hope that we all pass...let me correct that becuase I know we will all pass.
