A registered nurse is prepared at either the associates degree level or baccallaureate degree level. These are at community colleges and universities. I would check with your local colleges that have nursing programs and contact them. Be prepared to wait a long time before you get into a nursing program.
Good luck.
:welcome: Most community colleges in California (if not all) offer an associate's degree (ADN) in nursing. Here's a web link to community colleges in California. http://www.cccco.edu/find/alphabetical.htm
