Just a short whine LOL

Ok, this is my question. Why do nursing school uniforms HAVE to be all white? Doesn't the school realize that I have a life outside of the hospital? :chuckle

My Tuesdays have typically been 8-4. Well, I have to leave school at 4, rush home, pick up my kids, then take them over to the music store for viola/violin lessons. Nothing like walking around in an ALL WHITE UNIFORM, trying to keep it somewhat clean b/c I need it for the next 2 days, (3 in total) and I've only got 2 uniforms. Got another pair of white pants, but they don't match the top, and it's pretty obvious they don't go. :chuckle

Dtr has soccer after that. I just dumped her off on the soccer field (making sure I saw her coach) then I went home. There was NO WAY I was hanging out on a soccer field with all white on. Knowing my luck I'd get mud all over it. :chuckle

:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah: i thought my school was the only school stuck on white. i get that it looks professional, but lets be real majority of the ppl in the program are women, with women problems that come once a month. it is impossible to keep them clean with all the things in the hospital and on top of that we are forced to pay these high prices for the uniforms because white isn't popular is less extravegant stores. i don't wear all white anything in everyday life ever, it is by far my least favorite color.

Lots of schools don't use white uniforms -- there's a lot of variety among schools.

Man I feel for you guys. Our school has all black uniforms, or we can do black pants and gold tops. They look pretty darn awesome I must say and we always get complimented by the pts on how nice our all black looks
