Hey all need advise and input. I just bit the bullet and scheduled my first NC1 test for 10/30/08 and am not feeling extreme anxiety. There is so much to study!! I have study group 101 notes, the EC outline, and the books BUT am feeling completely overwhelmed. I will also be using saunders edition 4.
Now what I need is practical advise on how to conquer this beast. The first time is always the hardest and I have put this off for a year. I do better with deadlines so am hoping my 3 hrs a day study schedule and all the supplimentals will work. How did you all stud6y for this test?

Thanks! Oh, yeah! I used ATI also for NC7! I plan to continue using the Adult Med-Surg, Maternal newborn and pharmacology (all RN level) plus the DVDs - as boring as they are! Unfortunately, that is as far as my ATI collection goes. Also, I will dabble with NCLEX-RN Review made incredibly easy.
Good Luck to you too!! Feel free to K.I.T.!!

Sounds good to me. We can encourage each other, and I think others are just starting out as well, so that will be really good for us all. Traci:p

did the ATI supplements help you. I used them in my LPN class and some of the books had errors on labs and pathophys if I remember correctly.
Thanks! Lisa's Notes are found on Ebay. They are by Lisa Arends.
I didn't buy any Excelsior textbooks. I'm not going through Rue or College Network. As much I tried to stay away from third party publishers, I did join up with istudysmart, however, I should have saved my money. I'm not using their materials either.
I do have a few ATI RN review books from nsg school. You can also find them on Ebay. They come with DVDs which, although boring, can also help in studing. I also use (at times) Nclex RN Review made incredibly easy.
From what I hear, I mass of people are using Lisa Arends' notes as well as studygroup101 (also on Ebay). Some rely on these notes solely, others want to be more thorough by reading texts. Either way, a lot will suggest doing Excelsior's practice exams. It is now $65 for 2 hundred question exams. It gives you an idea of how the exam will be and what type of questions will be asked. In some instances, exact questions have appeared on the actual exam!
Well, good luck!! :typing:)
