I had Mondays off this semester...loved it. It always did screw me up though...lol...because when I'd go back to clinical on Tuesdays..I always thought it was Monday.....7 weeks later and I STILL never really know what day of the week it is., Ha ha ha.....but I DID love having the 3 day weekend!

And THAT is why one of the things on my Christmas list this year is a digital watch with the date. I never know what day it is and I feel like an idiot having to ask someone before I date charts at clinical.
My spring quarter looks like this:
Monday: Nursing Research 4:10-6:50
Tuesday: Med-Surg 2: 8:00-10:50, Seminar 1-3
Wednesday: Informatics 1-3
Thursday/Friday: Clinical 7-4
I *hope* I can either do prep Wednesday morning or not have to do one or as extensive a one, since we have class till 3. Last quarter we had class till noon, I was at the hospital until 2, and worked on my care plan until 8-9 (we needed complete health history, interpretation of tests, interpretation of labs, implcations of all meds, scheduled and PRN, a pathophysiology of the admitting dx, AND a concept map and care plan). Pushing that back 3 hours will make for longer nights than I want when I have to get up and take care of people the next day. :-/

I am so excited! This is going to be a terriific semester! The way my classes are scheduled, I will always have a weekend to study before tests.
I also have mondays OFF!! This is because I competed all my liberal arts co-req's so I will have 3 day weekends!!
Here is the schedule:
T- theory 9-11am, lab 1-3pm
W- theory 9-11am
Th-clinical 7am-4pm
F- clinical 7-11am
This is also so awesome b/c I will have a short day on Wednesdays which leaves me plenty of time to get my patient assignment and write care plans.
YIPPEE!! Can ya tell I'm happy! :chuckle
