just did IPN eval

Published

Did my IPN eval oct 24 at healthcare connections in Tampa . It was $900 for all screens, mental health eval (depression) and an IPN eval.

I haven't had any narcotics for 3 months ( on nov 1) and they have told m I won't be able to continue my prn xanax (which is fine). My DOC was po opiates. I'm scared I will get PHP despite the fact that I have been off of it for several months. Has anyone been to this place? I cannot afford php (or probably IOP either lol). I am willing to do whatever I can and want to hear everyone's experiences with FL IPN

Thanks

I don't know about Florida because maybe be you guys are more decent down there but The whole "I ain't got the money" argument won't play here. I've seen nurses thrown out simply because they cannot afford to comply with the demands of the program up here. An unemployed, restricted nurse making $10 can't afford to pay her rent much less hundreds of dollars for urine testing and more money for weekly, asinine "support" groups. Up here the response is kind of like that old line from "goodfellas". F### you pay me. Extortion plain and simple just by the rehab industry instread of honest mobsters who make no pretense of helping anybody

The sliding scale IOPs are usually run by tiny nonprofits whose goal is actually to help a person who has an addiction issue. Unfortunately since places like that are not soulless drones of the rehab complex whose goal is to suck people dry, getting the program to approve might be tough. Once in with the contract however?, sigh....as you say, welcome to the set of Goodfellas....**** you, pay me.....

Omg after reading all these stories as long as jail isn't attached I think it isn't worth it...I keep hearing there are and will be RN shortages ...well if these programs may have a lot ot do with it. I read the monthly letter from state my wife gets the nursing one and there are dozens of nurses caught up every month. Any idea if being a phlebotomist would be ok if she had restrictions on license or lost it ?

I don't know if phlebotomists are licensed. If not I don't think the board or anybody else should really have any control of the issue.

I also had an initial eval at Health Care Connections. I had been clean for 3 years by the time IPN got ahold of me. I had to do a 5 day inpatient evaluation. The entire week the counselor had been talking to my husband with out my knowledge. The led him to believe I was doing drugs again. My drug problem was very hard on our relationship and I worked hard to regain his trust. When the time came when my husband and grown daughter came to HCC to sit down to discuss the plan it was revealed hair, blood and urine were all negative but they felt I could benefit from 8 weeks of residential treatment. How does that work. I was able to convince them to do IOP because of all the negative screens.

That seems to be their MO. I went under the guise of a 5 day "neuropsychiatric" evaluation" recommended by an IPN evaluator. I even only packed underwear for the 5 days. They chatted up my family unbeknownst to me. Turns out that week is how they get their claws into a vulnerable person. My family only wanted the best for me and we didnt know any better at the time, so i was ripe for the picking and those people saw the $$$$$

I didn't come home for 6 months.

These "professionals" are lying dirt-bags. They make used car and time share sales people look like Mother Theresa.
