I graduated with BSN in may 2008 and just got accepted into MSN/psych program. is anyone currently in a psych MSN program or has ever been? What can i expect of the program in general? I figured since i just finished BSN program and still in the "student" mode....that i start Masters because personally...when i'm away from school so long...it's hard to have the initiative to go back....
so really what's Masters like....especially Psych...any advice???? Your thoughts and comments will be highly appreciated.

You may want to check the NP forum - there is a recent thread about a day in the life of a psych NP there which may be helpful.

I'm in a PMHNP program but haven't begun the clinical portion, so I can't tell you about that; but I can tell you the other classes require alot of work. Unlike undergrad, there are no "blow-off" classes.
Congrats on your acceptance. When do you start? What made you decide to go the psych route?
Thanks for the advice....i start in spring with some of the core courses (3 classes).....i'm a scared yet eager to start.....
what made me decide to go the psych route is while in nursing school i enjoyed and learned a lot in all clinical rotation but psych struck a cord with me. I developed my affinity for listening to clients which enabled me to develop and allow the use of greatest personal trait. I understand that classes will be challenging, so with determination, support of loved ones and allnurses family......i will overcome....thank you everyone
