Just found out I fail

I'm over it I took NCLEX for the fourth time I just find out that I fail it again I don't know what else to do

Kaplan is good. Did you do in class sessions?

It would make sense to contact someone from Kaplan. During the in-class sessions, the Kaplan teacher typically gives you her/his card... use it. You paid for it.

See a doc about anxiety.

If English is your second language maybe find another second language person who has passed.

Hello .. I'm on the same boat as you .. 4 time just found I failed .. im trying to figure out what else to use. I used remar last but it's not as detailed content. I also did uworld . wish I would have done more questions .. I was so close. Content is the key. I see people use Saunders or any content to help. And do questions and more questions.. we will get there really soon. Just take a week off and start again.. good luck

RedInPurple - I'm sorry, but your comment about ESL is quite offensive. The only reason why ESL would be an obstacle if the nursing program taken by the person was not in English. Without proper knowledge of lanugage, the graduation from English speaking program would be highly unlikely. Having different mother language has nothing to do with the knowledge and ability to think critically. ESL does not equal learning difficulties. Many ESL speakers are completely fluent in English.

I have been known to misread test questions. I'll go back and read the results later and see, "oh yeah, if I'd read that correctly I would have gotten that answer right."

I do not have test anxiety.

English is my first language.

I can only imagine how much worse the situation would be if I *did* have test anxiety, plus any potential language deficiencies, along with the stress of taking the NCLEX multiple times after dedicating my life to years of schooling. There have been a lot of good suggestions here on how to overcome these circumstances and go on to do better.

No one here implied that english fluency is a prerequisite to critical thinking. But shying away from a potential area that could be hindering the OP because of not wanting to potentially offend someone (not even the OP in this case) is not helpful. It was an assessment question, and a valid one. Sometimes they can touch a nerve (i.e. asking about potential lifestyle choices that lead to a patient's health complaints) but they are required in order to create a well-rounded plan to do better in the future.

Hi,Nadee14!!

You can do it!!

I'm 45 years old and I passed my NCLEX last year.

Passing in NCLEX wasn't that easy I know. I recommend investing in a Review Course.

If you want I can share my reviewer course I take :)

Dear Nadee14,

I am so sorry to hear that. We are all here with you!

When you have a chance, please, please take a look at my recent post "Very Low Kaplan & Uworld, Passed NCLEX in 75 First Time, Tips & Secrets" and send me an email at [email protected] so that I may send you the study guide as well, if you'd like. This goes for anyone else too!

Why am I doing this? Because you as well as everyone who made it this has what it takes to become an RN, and I will do my best to make that happen!

Nadee14, you WILL pass, you are just going through a bumpy road is all.

Best!

Hello, I took the nclex in june & had all 265 questions. I went to a panic mode when I hit question #76 and blanked out and forgot simple things i knew. Im planning on retaking it soon. any advice on how to manage my anxiety the next time I take it and also what I should def make sure I review before going??

Hi, vanni1! I agree with you, all good things will come eventually :)

Quick tip: Try teaching yourself to do questions and not focus on the number you're on. When I first started studying, it took me hours to do just 60 questions because I kept worrying about what number I was on. I completed 95 questions in an hour and a half for my nclex. So my time improved!

And as I recommend investing in a good NCLEX Reviewer is worth a try. It works for me!

the link was removed ouch! we could reach out in the email :) or facebook just beep me! [email protected]
