  1. RedInPurple - I'm sorry, but your comment about ESL is quite offensive. The only reason why ESL would be an obstacle if the nursing program taken by the person was not in English. Without proper knowledge of lanugage, the graduation from English speaking program would be highly unlikely. Having different mother language has nothing to do with the knowledge and ability to think critically. ESL does not equal learning difficulties. Many ESL speakers are completely fluent in English.
  2. I did UWORLD and my first time scores were above 71% and second round close to 90%, I am getting almost everything right on Saunders evolve resources and nurseslabs quizes and I felt very confident about upcoming exam till I started to do NCSBN questions. If I get lucky my score is 70%, but a lots of times I get 50 or 60. I feel that their intervention prioritization is a bit different than other websites. I am writing exam very soon and I am extremly worried right now because it looks like I have quite high chances of failing it despite straight A's in nursing school and encouraging results from other practice tests. It is not as much about the content which I know on the back of my head, but that standart decision tree I always used for all my exams and other practice tests seems to be useless with those questions. Since those questions are from NCLEX developers, should I expect similar disaster on exam as well?

Hi! A little bit about my current situation - I recently graduated from RN program. I have been in Canada for 6 years and my work experience is limited to two jobs. The first job I had, the company does not exist anymore and owners moved. The second one, where I worked as PSW for couple years, the company apparently has the policy of not giving the references and I was told that they can only confirm my employment. The majority of the jobs I am applying for ask for at least 3 references. I am worried that if I will give them only my academic references it will be the red flag for the future employers. Should I take out that job from my resume or leave it and hope that the potential employers will be understanding when I will explain the policies of my previous workplace. Any advice? Thank you!
